What the Heck browser does Gameforge default on?!

Hey guys,
I opened the link about Nov. server merge and some strange browser popped up. I'm on Windows 10, that browser was not Microsoft Edge. What the heck was that thing? Why is it on my OS?! Should I be worried?

Most likely it is IE, that is what a lot of programs are forced to use when launching links.
A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

As much as I'd love to say I offer consulting services, the scope of things broken is too large.

I have Win 10. The browser claims to be Internet Explorer, even though Edge was supposed to replace it.

My Win 10 install is an upgrade from Win 7, so IE must still be there.

Update: A search on my machine does find IE. So, that's probably the answer.

Hmmm, ok. I upgraded from Windows 7 as well, so maybe that is why I have a copy of IE lurking on my computer :pinch:

Edit: screenshot added

Yep, definitely IE.
I guess the EXE is left there in the Upgrade or put there in a fresh install for the programs that still look for it (for compatibly reasons, of course).
It would seem that the RoM launcher is one of them.
