Pet Interface

I am new to the game. I got a nest card card and an egg. I added the egg card to the interface slot, but it will not let me add the egg to the interface. What am I doing wrong?

If I remember correctly, you need to right-click on the pet egg you got, then put it into the slot.

I got the pet from the item shop so it wasn't an egg. But the game calls it an egg. Right now I can't train for skills

Oh, that's a different type of pet. Most of them are for decorative purposes only; some of them give 2 or 3 hour bonuses. But they are non-trainable and they don't have any skills. What you need are Pet Eggs that you get from Magic Cavies or that you can buy from other players (in Auction House for example) who got them from Magic Cavies. There are Wild Pet Eggs, Natural Pet Eggs, Amazing Pet Eggs, Holy Pet Eggs and Rune Pet Eggs. Those pets have skills and can be trained.
