new forums postings

ever since the forums merger it seems that there are less and less posts about the game and what does get posted is complaints & issues. what happen to the postings about strategies & gameplay styles? are the hardcore gamers left to greener pastures?

It is a curious development that the forums have slowed down so much. I have NEVER seen a server as busy as Erebos is lately (well since before Fire Festival).
I don't support 1 Server. I just like the Anagram - GOAT GRIP!

nothing to talk about when the game stays the same.

no class/skill changes.

nothing new and exciting implemented.

same boring content.

same broken crap people don't even bother asking for fixes anymore.

doesn't help that the mods close/delete the few threads that do get made because they "don't follow forum policy/templates/whatever." this is an online forum, we're not trying to write legislation....

New content does not get added into the game to talk about.

If new content does get added, it comes with bugs so no one can do it so no reason to talk about it.

If we ask for Fixes, we cant a its been passed on message somtimes and then 8 months later someone asks for the same fix because noting happen and the thread died long ago.

If we ask for change, we get told they dont have the power to do so.

If we complain we get thread closed.

I suspect it's just people have a sufficient audience in-game since the merges, so less need to resort to the forums.

Yep ive made several valid post on how to save game or give us a better experience and people were arguing about my lack of indents. lmfao atleast they cant say i didnt warn them.
People have complained and gave valid ideas but yall always come up with some bs and yall dont listen to the players. Yall only listen to bs like AA badges or sw time not actually implementation.
But oh well, if yall have any comeback yall better make it soon b its too late and people move on unless yall want people to quit.
Up to yall

We've been over this before, but I guess I can explain it again.

The rules in the suggestions forum are in place and enforced because we cannot bring a suggestion forth to the correct department that is not written properly. They go back and tell us to try again.

If there are 7 suggestions in the same thread, then it will be impossible for users, mods, devs and community managers alike to sort through which of the 7 suggestions has gained the most opinions and which one needs to be implemented. It causes confusion that is unnecessary, and to put bluntly, a waste of time as well as suggestions buried 7 posts deep. These are not "valid" suggestions.

The QA and people responsible for the changes just look at your threads and go "yeah, mmkay, which suggestion, post 7 14 or 32?".

Well people don't have time to post one suggestion at a time and most of the time the suggestions are related. Like racer said we aren't writing laws we giving ideas.
I have given suggestions related to each other and y'all say closing thread more than one.
For example I said something like make dias cheaper and keep prices in item shop happy hour prices. They got people who don't even play just troll the forums saying more than one suggestion gm pls close and y'all listen to them.
I once saw this guy post a whole essay going onto detail, perfect punctuations, and he offered help. Y'all was like closed thread more than one topic.
People aren't about to post 10 thread when they can post one and give sub topics that go with them and honestly if gf and rw are that lazy to read multiple suggestions in one thread with details, than idk what to say.
Just know I and others tried.

people dont want to write up a short novel for one point

people sure as heck dont want to write a short novel for something thats been suggested a thousand times

so yea, thats why we throw out the same things over and over and over and over and over.

surely as a gm you can read it real quick and sum it up super fast since you guys play (supposedly) the game and know exactly what everyone is talking about

why do you need to write a short novel anyways?
deems pretty simple to suggest 1 idea give reason behind it and give proof if you have it.
then discuss that idea.

only short novels i have seen recently have like way to many suggestions to keep track of realistically.
its way to easy to get off-topic too.
and honestly i stopped even reading threads that are like that.......and if players aren't reading them why would we think that gms or management would.

Timthum makes a solid point here. For a suggestion to be taken seriously, the suggestion should be well thought out and focused. For example: if a player wanted to suggest an in[game item be put on sale, then they should at least attempt to justify how the gaming community as a whole would benefit and if possible how GF/RW would benefit.

On the other hand, players who post "suggestions" that are obviously self-indulgent and/or have limited viability other than to a very select few players, make statements like "you should do (this)" with no further explanation, or post a wall of words throwing out multiple suggestions that lack even an elementary explanation of why those changes should be considered deserve to be, for the most part, simply ignored.

GMs and admins are not there to sell your ideas. If a players wants to make a suggestion but is too lazy to do the work then they should just post in general discussion threads to vent their frustrations and not expect any of their comments to translate into change.

Finally, @mohommed1234, trying to communicate colloquially is probably ok if the native language of the people you are trying to reach is English. Knowing that the final intended audience consists of non-native English speakers, your choice of wording could possibly effect any outcomes. Just food for thought. :)

Whats the point of providing info on why a suggestion was suggested when they will just twist the suggestion in such a way as to make it completely useless when they implement it to make it look like they are doing something.

can easily put like 10 "well thought out" suggestions in 1 thread, but itll just go unnoticed, or locked, or deleted. and these are things that the overwhelming majority of players would approve of

honestly it's at the point where people don't even want to bother anymore.

thats why people dont post

and its 100% gameforges fault
