Warden skill: Summon Nature Crystal -- how does it work?

So the description says I'm immune to attacks but can't use attacks. The wiki also says it doesn't attack.

However, I just tested it and not only can I get damaged, but I can still attack, and IT can also attack! So how does this thing work?

Already been discussed In this Thread: Summon Nature Crystal doesn't give effects as described

Wow, that was more than two years ago and it still hasn't been addressed. Terrible.

Anyway, it still looked to me like the pet did attack a monster, even though it apparently isn't supposed to be able to.

The best part about the crystal is that it can't attack. Impossible to aggro anything you dont want to, and it cant be randomly killed during fights.

There's a difference betwen walking up to a monster, and actually attacking it.

Years ago the nature crystal used to be able to attack, and was patched to be a passive buffing tool for wardens instead. The attack command simply puts the crystal in melee range of w/e you order it to attack, but it doesn't do anything other then act spiffy in front of a boss/mob.
