Didnt that happen already when you bought them? Im not getting suckered into buying gashas when the +16 gems will be sold on their own eventually.

At the end of the day, if you're going to be upset when +16 gems come out on their own.......

The upgrade rate of the gems is already a massive gamble, why add more chance to it with gashas? And people love to complain they're going to leave because of these gems, but they dont.

i have nothing against those +16 packs !

i even did not buy somes gashas for me

i just sayed that those peoples which bought
over the we - and i know a few which bought
for couple of thousand dia's they would def. not be
very happy and i could imagine that there would
be some players which would leave the game
beacuse of that - that's all

Yer fair enough bud :) didnt mean to sound like I was attacking anyone but I honestly think its time the +16's start being sold outside of gashas. Gashas are simply unfair to the players. I consider them to be a scam and a huge gamble.

So in an attempt to understand why these gasha's exist in this game, i looked to the meaning of the word and all i found was.... its russian in origin, most commonly used as a name for females and means "good"

I might be missing something here >.>

anyhoo I hope that this weekend will be the last we ever see another gasha, doubt it will come to pass because FA likes making a russian girl named gasha R@pe us for all we are worth.

Yeah, I saw that page... it is a stretch at best. Very very uncommon name in Russian, almost like one of those made up names that ...ummm... certain parts of US population likes to use. Living there for good 1/3 of my life, I never heard that name.

From what my guildies say, it is a corruption of the word "gotcha", cleverly disguised so you don't recognize its purpose right away. :D

Back on topic...

We are still due for at least one round of those things since permanent Backpack VI was never yet offered for sale, and something tells me Frogs are not ready to stop the gamble process.

The full term is Gashapon. It's a Japanese onomonopoeia, Gasha for the sound of turning the crank of a vending machine and Pon for the sound of the capsule dropping into the receptacle.

Hey, we have that too... a bunch of vending machines in almost all grocery stores with assorted trinkets. I see kids nagging parents for quarters all the time. You get one and it might be a temporary tattoo, a sticker, some plastic jewelry, or whatever else they could make for 2 cents and sell for 50.

We are just not insane enough to elevate it to a level of cultural phenomena and give it a name. That's what makes Japanese so entertaining.
