pet aptitude gold sink & millers cake cost.. duhh

how bout make millers ranch vendors sell an item that raises aptitude?

i see hundreds of sales of rune pet eggs every week for the purpose of people raising their aptitude on their pets

I would pay 1mil per aptitude in a heartbeat, and get this 69 aptitude pet i've been waiting to put to use to 99 in a split second. boom, 30mil out of circulation, split second.

i would also be more willing to buy millers cakes if it didnt cost 200mil to get a lvl 1 to lvl 50. I think a lot of players would also do so if it were more affordable, and also cut-down on botting at the same time

hmm.. i wonder why the 1hr long gold sink vendor yesterday had players turn 99 huntsman traps in instead of actual gold. DUHHHHH:confused:

remove millers ranch, and just place the items on vendor store for gold. most players are already using the AH for them and the vendor.

Like OP said, that way no gold goes to botters(which mostl likely are gold sellers) and the gold gets removed from the server. Plus it doesnt hurt FA's income since all these items are already "free"

If that is not an EPIC WIN then my name really is gary.

My 2 Cents and My Pets Both Agree

Keep miller's ranch. I'm not going to buy golden eggs cause I can get them for free a couple here and there while cutting down on my pet food costs.

It's lovely that you people who have been playing forever don't have to worry about gold, but for newer players like myself ( <Lvl 60 ) every gp counts.

I'm of the opinion that cakes and traps cost way too much and that they should cut the price in half or more.

Buying aptitude directly seems too easy and were they to consider that, they may as well just remove the aptitude and make it 100 for everyone's pet.

gold is an issue for most players including myself, i might seem to have alot, but its because i spend wisely.

though i do see your point. I dont really buy golden eggs, just a few for my pets apt but other than that i just get the cakes from the vendor.

There are other ways to raise a pet's aptitude. Golden Eggs only allow for you to get the training points in order to use the aptitude potions which you get either via golden eggs or diamonds.

A level 69 aptitude pet could easily be upped via low level eggs with high aptitude. The egg with the higher aptitude will add to the lower aptitude egg. It's how I got my lvl 1, apt 70 to aptitude 85.5 in 7 levels. It's really not that difficult. And it's not that expensive, either.

Miller cakes are free. If you spend the time to do the quest.

Golden Eggs are free. If you have patience.

Don't get rid of Miller's Ranch. Some of us who don't bot still use it for what it's meant to be used for.

I don't think removing that instance would be near as beneficial as an actual gold sink o-O. Especially since people spend mucha moneys on golden eggs atm, but before the prices were going down and down and you could buy golden eggs for dirt frikkin cheap.

Even if you make an NPC that you can buy golden eggs from, it wouldn't be effective forever. An NPC needs to be placed that an endgame player can go to forever and ever.
