Regional events in Tergothen Bay

seems a little lopsided when mages can come in and tstorm everything as a priest i have no chance of ever winning i wish the devs would put more thought into things like this

What does event in TB have to do with DPS? It has always been a game of how fast you can turn in the rewards and not about how fast you can earn them.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

Which is why I take my time and do all the event quests and don't turn them in until the event cycle after I've completed a good number of them. You don't have to do them all for the next event, you can save up the quests in your log and then turn them all in at once.

Sure, you may not participate in every cycle, but you stand a good chance of ranking in the top 3 once in a while.

hmmm when trying to do the events in thornose a mage comes in and tstorms all mobs where as a priest cannot so not about dps about aoe for priest i would think, not to mention that anyone who is not running an over clocked machine has no chance either when the event turn in lasts 30 seconds

I still manage to rank in the top 3 as a P/K, but I also know which quests to pick up, so that the turn-ins are close enough together to give me a fighting chance.

The credit/drop goes to the player who hit the mob first or mob aggro first. So you can just tag the mob with a instant cast and a mage comes along and kill it, you'll get the credit and the drop - exp/tp however, goes to who every done the highest damage to the mob.

If you got enough hp, just jump in to middle of the group, aggro everything and kill them one at a time.

Ummm, the event is about who can turn in the most quests asap, not who is completing them in the 20 seconds. If you're wasting time actually doing them while the event is running, chances are you're not winning.

If you can't get more than 900 point within the first 20 seconds of the event, then you are not prepared.

By not prepared, I mean either
1. Didn't complete far enough in main quest line to open up hidden public quests.
Or
2. Didn't complete at least 5~6 of the public quests before the start of event - could be gearing issue or lack of mount or something else.

If you still not sure about what you didn't do or did wrong, you should try contact the first place of the event (top 3 names are announced) and ask him/her about how to get points quickly.

On a side note, event in this zone isn't for players who just make a character and exp orb/daily level to 67 (minimum level to pick up public quests). Player actually have to complete quest line start from Thunderhoof to SJF, NJF...etc, which involve 7(?) zones of questing. If the player didn't done those, don't even bother with events because you almost never gonna reach top 3.

I personal think the new event is way better than anything we have before - reward/cost is almost same as the gce mento farming runs and didn't turn into a welfare line like the dalanis ones.
