Guard Dog Meat & Botters

Since the other thread regarding this topic is closed, I thought I would start a new one with my suggestion on what to do about this problem.

Simply limit the stack size of all daily quest items to the number required for the quest. So for Guard Dog Meat the stack size would be 10. This would fill up a botters backpack pretty fast, and make it much harder to make millions of gold in the Auction House since you're limited in the number of sales you can have going at any one time. Legitimate players looking to get their daily quests done shouldn't complain too much about the stack limit, and it would still be possible for players to make a bit of gold from sales in the Auction House.

Another idea is to change the XP of level 50+ daily quests in other zones, bringing them in line with the Inferno Gardens dailies. If there are more options available to get good XP, then some players botting one area wouldn't be that big of a deal IMO.

Or make it so that you have to have the quest for the meat to drop. Do like other MMO's do and set it so that in order for you to get a daily quest item you have to have the quest and the items stop dropping after you have the number of said items. Also if you abbandon the quest the items needed for it go "POOF".

id like the second option, sux at lvl 50 u get same amount of exp as at 69. need better exp daily. first option :/ i question it because some people like me got over 10 stack in their bank, and with ur first option they need 100 slots then.

And how and who is this going to help?

Why try to break something that is working just right imho.

They are people who hate to do dailies and have a lot of gold, and there others who farm dailies, but have no gold. Win-Win if you ask me.

If you think that dog meat is the way gold seller got their gold, than you are very wrong. That is too much work for gold seller... :)

Agree with that, never did see where they could make enough gold off them to effect the economy. Think you can make more gold in the same time farming KS, clops or Paspers.
I won't say they don't get botted, but all I have ever seen there are regular players looking to make some gold.

Changing to limited pickup, only with quest deal would only have a small effect, storage alt to hand the stack over or a portable mail box would get around it. The issue is that there aren't very many of the dogs there, (10 total?), and the quest has good returns so everyone wants in on it.
After you get about 60 or so and you do your own dailies, others have very close returns when kill xp and tp are figured in, but for people who prefer buying dailies it's the best in the game.

I just never saw the return on my time as being good enough to farm and sell them

Changing them to a limited pickup would fix the botters. Especialy if they do it the way I suggested. Make it so you ahve to have the quest to get the meat, set it so only the ammount needed for the quest drops, set it so that if you abbandon the quest the meat goes "POOF". Like I said a lot of other MMO's have done this and it worked rather well to stem the tide of botters.
As far as people not wanting to take the time to do their own dailies: well that is just laziness.
