Runes of Magic US / AU

yes I know a lot of us, me included, have stuck a lot into our main characters. But seeing as most titles can be gotten real easily (by completeing quests), excepting those that were specificaly for an event that will never go on again, I see absolutely no reason to change a race. I feel proud that my main has a title from an event that will never happen, and I feel proud of the work i stuck into her. Changing the race of her would create something false. I would rahter show true accomplishments on a character than try to fake out someone. Who knows how many events I missed out on but do I complain about it?? Not in the least. I take it like it is and keep playing my character for what she is, a hard earned LvL 70 elf.

For me it is very simple. If there is no way to have a one time chance, I'm done... I've already been pushed f2p this would be it for me. I'm not taking a year to make a new toon for a subclass. When elves were introduced there was 1 chapter to make up. Now it is 4. I'm not talking about a light hearted switch. I think each toon (at cap if possible but whatever on that) should get one FoF that changes race. You can use it when you want but you don't get another one...ever. No CS... never. You get one chance to change your max level toon. Play the new race and make your 1x choice.

Someone mentioned the costume wardrobe. Here are some very disturbing thoughts for yall:

1 Female Dwarf in the China Doll outfit. ACK NEED BRAINBLEACH.
2 Female Dwarf in teh CowGirl Outfit. EWWW MORE BRAIN BELACH NEEDED.
3 For those that ahvent be disgusted enough:

Female Dwarf in the SEXY BUNNY OUTFIT. GONNA NEED SOMETHING STRONGER THAN BRAINBLEACH FOR THAT ONE.

4 And the Coup De Grace: Female Dwarf in the limited edition 2 piece bikini. I think I threw up.

If seeing those does not kill the players of RoM and make the NPC's run for the hills I do not know what will.

Who cares about max level... Just about ever thread in this topic makes it pretty clear that XP has nothing to do with it. I care about the 100+ million TP and hundreds of bound items that can't be moved.

I've switched my combo 4 times now and pay exactly 0 race dependent combos (as is clearly stated in my sig). Yes, I will drop War in a second... If you don't want to switch, don't... I have a house full (as in 100 items) that would be rendered useless, mounts, pets... everything mentioned in this thread that you brushed aside to make that comment.

But suppose you are right, it is silly to make a 1 time leap of faith move based on an item that can be saved until you are ready (or not used at all) for a toon you only have endgame on 1-3 combos ... it is much better to make a one time blind leap of faith on a toon that you have never played any aspect of at end game... which is what you do when you make a new toon... only difference is that anything that is bound is now useless and you get to spend tens of thousands of diamonds to get where you were. Makes perfect sense from a players point of view.

I feel this way when I read most of your posts but this one really makes me ask it... what are you taking about?!?

No one is suggesting anyone gets anything without working for it. No levels, no items... nothing... just the chance to play a combo with the charicter they already put work and money into. I've put my time in, thanks... I've put my money in too. If you like grinding low levels and paying and ever increasing cost for puries to play a new toon... enjoy... I don't. I've done it before. I'm not asking for another toon. If I decide that I don't like the new combo, oh well... my bad. Yea, I know... how silly to want to not have to pay for the things you already earned twice. Utter lunacy, I say...

Reading your comments, I don't think you actually understand a lot about titles in particular, besides the Cash-shop titles (I have a couple of those myself), there are a number of titles from the very hard to spawn mobs, like the Mushroom-King, etc.

I have no particular interest in rerolling myself, I like my R/S/Wd combo, to be honest it's a pretty cool combo, but as someone who's paid over $100 into my main in stuff that isn't moveable between characters, I can easily support that kind of argument.

Hell, I have what like 8-10 mounts now that I never use? And I'm not even counting those lol.

No understanding of Titles??? I have on my main EVERY title that I can get except for a few from the last few instances. I know they give certian buffs also. I will reiterate my position on this idiotic and useless post: Yall want everything handed to you on a gold platter. Yall are not willing to put some more work into a new character jsut for conviences sake. I will add this too: It was your choice to spend thousands of real life money on this game which can be played for FREE. Yet you whine and complain when someone has a difference of opinion. In this issue I call that LAZINESS. So waht you lose a few bound items, but the gear you ahve, and the weapons you ahve can be UNBOUND, if you are determined to keep all that stuff, and seeing as they are releasing a new level cap all that shiny new gear you have now will be completely USELESS within a few weeks. Where will you be then?? You will be looking for new gear anyways. It will be more productive to create a NEW character, learn how to play the new classes as you level the NEW character, and then once that character has hit LvL 70 give it the gear your old one has and start on the NEW instances to get new gear and weapons. You will be spending more money and diamonds to upgrade the NEW gear anyways, so why not just get it for the new character??
Unless you delete your old character they will still have all the junk you collected, and it will not go away. If you are so worried about stuff then I feel sorry for you. Especially since what you are worring about is not real but virtual and trully not worth anything. Seeing as there is no racial abilities between teh different races like in a lot of other games, you can still use your old character for the crafting, and other professions without lifting a finger with the new one. And seeing as the gear and stuff we craft ingame are not better than waht can be had from instances that complaint is null and void also.

Have you even done the challenge titles? If you haven't even gotten some of the last instance titles, there's definetly no way that you've gotten a bunch of those challenge titles.

Titles do not stack. only the one you have active gvies you any of its bonuses.

You gain 5 hp for every title you get, I'm not talking about Title bonuses.

Nope I just tested it by managing to get a new title tonight. No extra HP, no extra anything. Some titles will give you bonus's IF they are active but there was nothing added when I got my newest title which now makes 410 titles.

Titles should certainly give 5HP as you gain them. Can't say I have ever tested this, and perhaps it only relates to quest titles but I wouldn't have thought so...

Nope they give nothing when you get them. I went and killed 2 zone elites and got into a group that managed to clear RT on Diamond giving me a couple more Titles. Other than what the title gives you when you set it as active I got nothing else from them.

Adding this for those that wonder when the Titles actually came into beign. They were not implemented until patch 2.0.

Every title gives hp bonus even the frog event title gave 4-5 titles from killing 100 frogs and all gave hp title. Have you tried "check title option", sometimes it just pops up un accounted titles and u get bonus(hp) from that. If it doesn't then post a bug and hope they will ever read it.

Sent in a ticket on it after getting 3 titles last night and over 47 titles on an alt of mine. Got not a single extra point of HP when I got any of the titles. Must be bugged like you say but I will go through support first to see if they can do something about it.
