The Golden Goose

I propose a cash shop item in the furniture section of a goose in a nest, that once purchased and placed in your home, produces 1~3 golden eggs a day when harvested.

Every day, you can harvest from your goose and get a small number of golden eggs to help advance your pet. This will: 1) Encourage players to log in every day. (2) Alleviate the unnecessarily arduous task of the quest "An Easy Lay"... since NO ONE likes doing it. (3) Introduce a new cash shop item that will be a necessary, but unrequired piece of furniture that most people will purchase on multiple toons.

I would suggest that it would be limited to only 1 per character, but that's optional, as since the golden eggs can't be traded anyway, the number of eggs produced would be only beneficial to the person purchasing the geese.

I agree with this. This would make the pet grind easier for people who log in each day, sort of like a daily but not having to work so hard for it. It would be more like this is going to take a long time to collect type of thing as opposed to this is taking to much of my time farming eggs. Granted the daily one egg is nice but it is still a pain in the butt. I don't like spending more then a half hour on any given day in the pet farm.

I'd agree that having a golden goose would be fun to have in the house. Make it cost a certain amount of dias & you have to feed it 1-3 dia per attempt. The goose will give up a golden egg n x 25% of the time & a regular egg on failures. It then has a 6 hour cooldown for the next attempt.

w/ the dia vendors, this wouldn't really be too costly & be a great gold sink.

Would there be an option to kill the golden goose? Because, reading the forums, I gotta believe that is one of favorite activities of many many people.

i don't think a golden goose should be fed money after you bought it. They could make things work differently, lets say for example it drops white eggs in your bag ever so often and after you get ten you can trade them to the golden goose for golden egg. Maybe every once in awhile it drops a golden egg automatically.

But if I kill the Golden Goose then I can get 6 golden eggs all at once, it's brilliant!
