New races and classes! Feedback wanted!

So I'm pretty sure things like these get suggested about 1,000,000,000,000 times a day, but I'd like to put my ideas out there and see what people think of them.

As we all know there are plenty of playable races in Runes of Magic ranging from humans to dwarves. However, there are also plenty of races we don't get to play such as insects, various demons and undead. That being said, there are a few more specific races that I'd love to see implemented into the game.

First and foremost: Limo!

For those of you who don't know, the Limo are fit, proud, and clan-dynasty ruled race of dog-human hybrids. Their physical make up is mainly human however they have a canine head that tends to differ in appearance according to the clan they belong to.

There are 3 known clans, Angerfang, Rotteneye, and the Ironteeth.

Males generally assume the role of merchant or guard and military duties whilst the females tend to become a priest-like servant of the faith. The Limo are a hardy and proud race that should not be underestimated in combat, however their main weakness is the divide between clans that keeps them from embracing their true potential.

With this in mind I would like to introduce the new classes.

Class: Raider
Requirements: Limo race
Suggested type: Physical DPS/Group support
Able to wear: Up to leather.

Limo are excellent hunters, their canine sense of smell and human physical makeup give them a distinct advantage in the successful capture and suppression of a target. A Limo Raider uses their senses and strict military tactics to locate, disorient, and finally, subdue the target. Raiders work best in 'packs' where they can rely on one another for support.

Example skills:

Caterwaul: A harsh and chill inducing howl that will send the opponent running.
Cast time: 2 seconds. Cooldown: 2 minutes.
Uses 150 + 2% MP
Range: 100

Odor sensitivity: You're able to smell hidden targets and by extension, know their position within a range of 200.
Passive skill.

Decoy: Shape mana infused sand into a clone of you! You will be hidden up to a range of 100 from the decoy.
Cast time: 5 seconds. Cooldown: N/A.
Uses 50% of MP

Fierce Iron: Strike your opponent with a furious crushing blow. Inflicts X% main-hand DPS and slows the enemy by 10% for 5 seconds.
Cast time: Instant. Cooldown: GCD
Uses 105 MP
Range: 50

Threshing sand: Enchants your weapon with "Bite of the Sand", increasing your mainhand DPS by X% for 600 seconds. You also have a chance to inflict blind on an opponent with regular attacks.
Cast time: Instant. Cooldown: N/A
Uses 5%+50 MP

Please feel free to leave comments and questions about this class or its skills.

They havent even given 60/70 elites and item set skills to dwarf-specific classes, and you already want a new race? >.<

Class: Sentient
Requirements: Limo race
Suggested type: Magical DPS/Group support
Able to wear: Up to cloth.

While many Limo may enter the ranks of the military, those who are most faithful become sentients. Sentients manipulate the battleground and erode their foes into oblivion with the help of the enchanted sand. While not the most robust of the Limo, their quick wit and supportive nature make them most welcome in any hunting party. Much like the desert they grow up in, Sentients can be incredibly harsh and unforgiving.

Example skills:

Sand meld: Compacts energized sand to reduce incoming physical and magical damage by 5% for 30 seconds.
Cast time: Instant. Cooldown: 5 minutes.
Uses 25 energy.

Hunger of the Desert: The tides of the earth churn and root enemies within the area of effect for 5 seconds and sap 5% of the targets' mana, energy, focus, rage, etc.
Cast time: Instant. Cooldown: 45 seconds.
Uses 50 energy.
Range: 220

Voracious Drought: Converts drained mana, energy, focus, rage, etc. from Hunger of the Desert into heals for nearby party members within a range of 80. Heal effectiveness decreases with more party members receiving the effect.
Passive skill.

Shifter: Converts your energy into a mighty thrust forward in the direction you're facing, moving you instantly forward 1 range for every energy used up to 100.
Cast time: Instant. Cooldown: 20 seconds.
Uses UP TO 100 energy.

Mental assault: Burning thoughts of raw power of the desert assaults the target dealing X earth damage.
Cast time: 2 seconds. Cooldown: N/A
Uses 100 MP

Whisk of the Desert: Transports you and your party to the nearest Transport system or resurrection stone in the area. After a successful cast, you enter a deep state of regeneration. ALL other skills receive a 1 minute cooldown.
Casting time: 8 seconds. Cooldown: 30 minutes.
Uses 100% MP

Yeah, pretty premature for a whole new race just yet...but if/when they do add more, I'd love it if it were either the limons or the angren. And with a female option too this time >.>.

But yeah, no new classes or races for a long time, hopefully.

I've been pushing the Capra since Chapter 1 - they really should have been the second playable race instead of Elves.

Their starting zone is already there too. It just needs some minor modification to become a proper starting zone.

The elves made sense, it was something ... epic. They'd locked themselves away for a long time until they needed humanity to help out. They'd always been humanity's allies, just trying to keep their front safe ( humanity's rear ).

It's obvious that RW has no interest in doing anything epic like that again. Instead, it's "the class of the month" or "dwarves would be fun because the Hobbit is coming out soon". Hell, the storyline behind the dwarves was kinda pathetic... "They were exiled away under the ground because they liked... magic!!!! oh noes!!!!" Now, they're a playable race. yay

That was something we discussed waaaay back when as well.. IF RW had the ba11s to put in an "evil" side, the zhuriden & Naga would have been awesome to play. We could have had 2 separate maps for leveling up & then a map where both sides were constantly fighting over mobs & drops. Would have been fantastic.

That'd be cool however there are quite a few games that use this mechanic and people are CONSTANTLY frustrated because spawns, NPCs, quest points are camped for cheap kills :P

Imagine people camping the Varanas Auction House :P
while there are measures to prevent this from happening, there'll always be people who will attempt to break through them and take advantage of the game's mechanics.

I think Naga would be a bit of a cheap shot class, especially with stacking stuns

I say the heck with new classes for now..just fix what is broken first off, to much broken, incomplete and untested content has been released for them to add more on top of it! Fix all content and current problems that have been reported for years..then maybe they can add new classes. Just my opinion of course!

^^^^ very much agreed. Though pretty sure its easier (and more fun) to create new content than it is to fix the old stuff, no matter how long the bugs have been around so im not holding my breath on a fix....lousy developers....

Perhaps... perhaps...
