Permanent Mounts

I know this issue has been gone over repeatedly on other threads for ages. However, I think the option to transfer permanent mounts to different characters on the same account and server would absolutely be a valuable addition to the game. It seems pointless to have a permanent mount languish and remain unused on a character that isn't being used, or on a character that has 2 permanent mounts.

Why then, is it so unreasonable to request the option to transfer perma-mounts between characters on our accounts? If there's an argument of abuse (like some bizarre instance of people flipping mounts back and forth to avoid buying a permanent mount for each of their active characters) there could be a time restriction to one permanent mount transfer per month or something. At least then people would have an opportunity to move mounts from characters they would have otherwise deleted to ones being played.

Also, I would love to see more cost effective permanent mounts come back to the Item Shop - 199d for the cheapest permanent mount seems a bit steep, and I'm sure plenty of people would be willing to buy permanent versions of basic horses (and I really miss the Unicorns, they're lovely). Witches Brooms would be nice in the shop too - even if they were just available seasonally (for example, at Halloween).

Well, we USED to be able to transfer mounts like from '09-'11 back when Frogster was running this game, not anymore though.
And if I remember correctly, there was permanent dino mount like 2-3 months ago that was only 20 dias (I didn't buy it though coz all of mine have to be either a 2-seater or flying mount)...lowest $ I've ever seen on a mount.
Whenever mounts go on sale, aren't they like 149 dias for 1-seater...I remember whenever the Star/Flame 2-seater mounts went on sale it was like 167 dias.

Ah, that would explain why there's a "Mounts" section to the AH that's perpetually empty.

There was never a mount transfer capability. What there was a cumbersome service offered by Frogs where a new mount was given to you in exchange for you deleting your old mount.

The process was entirely manual. You would ask that a certain mount was needed on another toon, they would verify that you had the mount, ask you to delete it, verify deletion, then send you another mount. Any mount customization (coloring) was lost, because there was never a transfer.

The mount section in AH was never active, as far as I know.

That 20 dias mount is something that was really surprising. IMHO, real mounts prices should be between 20-99 dias, to make them more available commodity. If prices are reasonable, then you don't really need transfers.

Make level 50 alts and do the bag quests up to level 50 then delete the character and repeat >

And how is that different from doing ancient treasure mini game? I stopped collecting mount pieces once I had enough mats to make 20 of 1 month mounts. Not to mention mount tickets from CoT.

Getting characters to 50 on weekly bases is just time consuming...

Yes.. but I see Cammo's point.... you get those fun little packages along the way with Transport runes golden hammers reset stones etc. Nothing to stop you spending 30mins a day power lvl'n alts to 50 so you can get free stacks of hammers and transport runes. Dont remember exact numbers but its something like 30 transport runes and 8 gold hammers. (I know theres more in them but thats the main 2 things I could think of)

Would you mind pointing a new player to those? I got a few tansport runes from the 1-30 bags that I started in Logar with, but I haven't heard of any up to level 50.. I'm 58 now so it may be too late to get them, but if not I'll definitely run and get them for 8 golden hammers if I can.

I think theres the sea of snow package lv 35 in yastra the rest are just armour packages. form 1 - 30 you would have been given golden hammers

Thanks BentAxel.. Yes, I got the golden hammers from the 1-30 package (long gone), was just thinking/(hoping?) there was another 8 out there.

I've been doing Andor Training Ground and received a few IS items, but I have yet to try any of the other mini-games.

I'll go back and finish those off eventually, probably with my 2nd class.. Right about when I hit level 30 on my primary class I discovered CoO, and I haven't been back to Ystra since.

the first few bags that drop into your backpack on leveling only go to 30. After 30 you have to do the quest in ystra, then you continue to get bags until level 50. These new bags include the standard stuff, hammers, pots, etc., as well as some 7 day mounts and more important some Purified fusion stones. Someplace, probably on the old forums, maybe on the wiki there is a list of each bag and what you get.
