Move Maintenance to Thursday or Friday

I've been thinking about this one for a bit...

Basically, a normal MMO tends to have the majority of the players on during the weekend.

If the intention of the maintenance is to provide as clean a slate as possible for players, why is the maintenance not run on Thursday? If quests clear up like acne after a maintenance & tend to fail over the week, why perform the maintenance after the majority of the players are done playing for the week?

By "done playing for the week" I mean the logins are not as frequent. ie, I work 40+ hours a week and most of the week, all the time I have in-game is to do dailies. The weekend is where I tend to play "for real".

tldr; Things tend to get broken throughout the week, so why is maintenance not performed right before the majority of players have play time? Thursday or Friday

Because then when maintenance gos wrong and takes two days it doesn't go into the weekend. Or maintanence breaks something in the game they have the rest of the week to fix it.

I can understand that, since we've had a horrible time w/ RW making patches that don't mess up...
I just feel that GF would have an easier time attracting players, if the broken things were minimized during the weekend.

But I will also state that this really is the only MMO I've ever played that had maintenance right after the weekend.

I think a lot of other mmo's that patch before the weekend probably have it down to a science at this point and don't worry about breaking their game with a simple maintenance that they've done a million times before.

I've been playing RoM since Closed Beta and maintenance has always been on a Tuesday, with a few exceptions changing it to Thursday. I don't think it's going to change any time soon.

I also like that some other games I play have maintenance on a Wednesday or Thursday - it means that not all games are offline at the same time and I can still play on of them.

World of warcraft used to have a long maintenance during the early morning and early daytime on Tuesday (3am-11am PST), Very similar to Runes of Magic. I would presume since this game is so close to being a wow clone, they made the maintenance times very similar. But WOW has gotten rid of the weekly maintenance and you are able to play the game while they do any changes to the game. All downloads and patches are done either while you are playing or offline and then it updates when you relog. I have not played WOW in a long time so I'm not sure how this effects the game quality and I have no idea if or when they have any server shutdowns. I'm sure that if Runes of Magic attempted this kind of fix to remove maintenance days, they would probably botch it up and destroy something. I'm guessing the lag would be impossible to deal with too.
