Thread died the day OP didn't learn that 1) One of the most important aspects of selling a proposal, is to have proper counter-arguments to others' rebuttals 2) GF/RW are a business, the game isn't worth the revenue risk

Ah I see and that is true. Although the ABLs changed not long after the merger...actually a few things changed around the time of the merger. If the company changes things up again, then it would be a really good idea to bring up all these topics again............

But the main point I have is you have to tailor your ideas specifically to the publisher and the developer, assuming that you're already working with an idea that the community can get behind.

Think about what you know about Gameforge, how they run the game, how they run their business; pitch it so it sounds good to them from a business standpoint or at least so that it sounds good to the Runes of Magic producer (the guy in charge of the game at GF). Before anything even gets to the developer, it has to go through the appropriate departments and the producer to get "approval." You've basically got a gauntlet to run for it to be even mentioned to the developer at all.
And on top of that, the sky is not the limit. The suggestion has to do-able for the developer and I'm not just referring to whether or not it's technologically sound. There are a lot of reasons why a suggestion can end up in the trash can that have nothing to do with technical reasons. We don't even know how many of the staff at Runewaker are being allocated to Runes of Magic nor what resources they have available for it. Take a hop and a skip over to their work-in-progress product on the 30th and let me know how busy you think they are.

I'm interested in supporting suggestions that have taken all such factors into consideration and address them to the best of their ability and present something that is reasonable/do-able for the two companies involved. It's not about being negative, it's about being realistic.

Makes sense for sure. But I don't really care about the game or these suggestions enough to put a really huge effort into them. I took the time to make a thread, that alone is more than many players bother to do.

I at least tried to show both the players and GF/RW the benefits of these suggestions for all of them.

Of course, I could of done a much better job. Perhaps focusing more on the benefits to the company would have been a better initial approach. But what's done is done.

You don't know the risk.

Ban the negative people trying to derail/close thread. The guys with banners mostly who think they own forum. What a joke. I shouldn't generalize but it's funny. Esxcape seems cool.

Seriously though, if they just shut up wouldn't it die naturally if it wasn't productive?

They're just calling for close because they don't like me obviously. I think I bruised some egos. :)

i think people dont like you cause you cant handle criticism at all and most of your replies are gigantic walls of text that constantly repeat the same thing as the previous wall every time, this thread does need to be closed and im usually against closing thread no matter what is said in it

however 13 pages of repetitive nonsense should definitely be stopped already

Another logical fallacy right Cike? Is that an Ad Hominem? I guess I'm guilty of many myself.

The walls of text that repeat things are fact but are they the true cause and effect of this assumed dislike? Would people really not like someone for repeating something or writing alot of text?

Or is it more likely that they dislike because of bruised egos or an inability to present good arguements or some other reason?

Is this an argument or question? This logical fallacy stuff is tricky. It's like a guide to trolling. ty Cike

I'm starting to wonder if I rationalized my arguements to fit my desired conclusions.
