Siege War Exploits

Change the castle during siege war so that it has gates on the throne room doors so people cannot exploit the better walls and come in at the back of the castle.

It's not "the better walls" that is the problem, it's the additional castle skins that are the problem. Your guild can fix this issue on it's own by just not using any of the non default skins.

Well i heard that there is another place where walls and gates are solid, you know like a real castle, so you cant send someones pet inside to take down building and players until gate is down. You cannot take down buildings from outside the castle. You can only take down building when a gate has been taken down, if not buildings take no damage.

You always have those Chiron users who can't play their class and uses their pets to do their bidding. Sad when a pet do more damage than a rogue in siege. Exploiters {cencored}. won't change till we get solid walls and gates sadly.

Use every exploit you can since you can't play the game or your toon ;-(

The exploit was with the level 3 walls. If you upgrade them
then, when you siege and the enemy breaks down the front gates. They can just
walk in the back if they go along the outer wall. If they add another gate to
the throne room side doors it would at least make it so they couldn't walk in.

yes, the new castle skins at least used to have this problem, i don't know if it has been fixed, but there are certain castle skins that should NOT be gotten if you plan to SW...

In my opinion, you get the benefit of having solid gates that can't be hit through by TS or anything else. This basically allows you to have nigh unkillable warlocks or whatever to defend it. Harder to take down outer gates = easier when they get in. I'm not 100% convinced that they didn't do that on purpose.

In all seriousness though, it's your own fault. Take off the skin and you're good to go.

Its funny because my guild has level 3 walls and their is still a barrier there. The level 3 walls are NOT the problem. The problem lies with the skins that are bought additionally to change the overall look of the castle. Please get your facts straight.

We had a guild in SW the other night that beat on our front gate for almost 20 minutes while upgraded flames were hitting them, none of them ever feared away from the gate and they placed traps randomly during this time within range of the upgraded electrics. A short immune i can understand, but 20 minutes plus of the traps doing nothing seems a little odd.

The walls/textures may be an issue that needs fixed, however just because it can be done, doesn't mean the people doing it aren't abusing an Exploit, since i don't believe this was the game designers original intention.

Maybe the traps purpose in sw needs to be re examined.

ANY % hp shield will prevent ALL secondary effects from skills that do {Damage + Effect}, flame tower fears and electrict tower interrupts included in here, as well as things like m/s shot mdmg and root effect from lightning, for as long as it is absorbing damage. If all of the damage gets absorbed from the shield, so too does the effect, EVERY TIME. You need to break the shields first to get the effect, and some shields can protect a large amount of hp. Spammable shields are warden nature crystals (15s duration, 15s cooldown, 10% block -- 15% on wd/m) which is aoe/multitarget shield, c/m single target shield (15s duration, 15s cooldown, 20% block). Those are the only ones off the top of my head. Non-spammable ones mage electrostatic shield, priest wave armor, etc.

As long as these shields are up, the enemies won't get feared/interrupted by flame towers. As always, I am most definitely NOT NOT NOT saying hacks don't exist, but something simple like "there was a warden among the enemy using nature crystal" explains how this could be done without hacking. Unless you can provide proof that there is no rational explanation for the event (for example video evidence showing no hp shields on players being hit by flame towers), then saying that there were hacks involved is not a valid conclusion.

btw First time i've ever heard anything like this being called a hack, so perhaps it isn't. just saying....

Don't forget priests can cast wave armor on others who might also have a shield of their own, warlocks can do the same. M/wl has an elite that will reset the cooldown of their mage shield. This paired with a good warlock can keep that mage shield indefinitely.

Chiron and electric towers need to be nerfed or something. You should not be able to set up an electric tower outside of the caste and kill buildings or the throne room, and chiron should not be able to kill me where i spawn on the roof over and over again.

As well, I just discovered last night that Mana Shield from Kn/Ma will allow you to absorb any hits while you fire off a Tornado if you're herald. :3

( someone else who's been playing the class might have known but I didn't )

Line of Sight (LoS) issue for both, as GF has stated over and over again, based on the castle modeling.

Just remember that on the flip side of things, you couldn't set up flame or electric towers INSIDE the castle in an attempt to "discourage" opponents or disrupt skills/attacks/herald Tornado, whatever, unless the towers have...wait for it...a clear LoS.

Put the nerf down and slowly back away from it. And learn to play.

I don't think t-storming rooftop (respawn spot) has been declared an exploit, but that should be fixed as well.

I think if they are this close to you the siege war is over anyway. I dont agree with the tactic and have never personally seen it but if a guild can break down both gates with all the buffs that can keep gates up now then you have lost.

My little Indigo guild was able to hold off a 50k higher siege score B-team from breaking in the other night. ONLY because of the ridiculous amounts of buffs you can use on gates and some very nice interrupts from guild members. C/M buff was not used due to controversy about this not being clean.

Honestly if people are going to put flames/electrics on their respawn point then i will t-storm up there until i get all of the towers, i would not t-storm up there without towers to kill because farming a players rez spot is a messed up thing to do and i hope other mages wouldnt "rez farm" either (even though some do).

Pretty much if you are going to stick towers on the rez spot then you should expect to be t-stormed.

There are players that like getting the extra kills from t-storm farming rez spot or will inevitably kill players while t-storming towers at the top of the castle. And then there are opponent guilds who become angry and will use very inappropriate language in retaliation. Usually, siege becomes less fun when that happens.

IDK if there is a way to make it so that placing towers on top of the castle is impossible, but there should be one! AFAIK, towers can be dropped on any surface. The roof counts as a surface. The roof should give a perm silence, cant cast, cant use skills, debuff as long as you are on top of the castle roofs.

Its really a problem with not implementing LoS on everything. They should have either not done it at all, or do a thorough job with it. Leave a bunch of skills free of LoS is just plain laziness, honestly.
