More efficient Snoop transports.

I would like to see Snoop transports in a given area like we have on Coast of Opportunity / Xaviera. You start at Heffner and can choose any of the sub-territories (price being the individual jumps added up). Then from the last stop (Frontline camp) you can reverse jump to any intermediate stop. You don't have to jump backwards to each stop along the way.

If you go to the Ancient Kingdom of Rorazan, you can transport (thru snoop) to any of the Lands on that continent, the price is the summation of each individual jump. However ,if you are in Sarlo, you cannot jump directly to AKOR, you must port to each stop along the way. The same is true for Thunderhoof hills - Turgothen Bay.

If transporting by snoop was like CoO, not only would this save time, but it might lessen the frequency of Client Crashes( fewer transports).

Been asking for this since chapter one myself, others since beta. They FINALLY gave us the system we have now, used to be had to stop at each snoop going both ways.

Snoop is working exactly as planned. The main purpose is to make transport such a laborious process that people buy transport runes instead. If any changes were made less transport runes would be bought and profits would go down. If you were to bring up all the previous threads on this you would understand better.

I guess I would disagree with this. I personally don't buy transport runes since they are given free with some festival events, and I guess I don't use them as much as I use snoop. If this is the intent, then why is Coast of Opportunity/Xaviera not a "laborious process", a frequently used zone for dailies and farming dog meat?

Simply because they are areas used to level up quickly. They want you to get involved and tied to a high level character. Then later in the game is when you really find the need for transport runes. They give players 2 options spend time or spend money. Spend the time getting everywhere you need to be and some of them are quite far from Snoops or take many many Snoops to get there or doing events to get transport runes. Or spend money to go anywhere you want to be instantly. It is the old Pay to play or Free to play option.

or as you reach the zones after Dalanis you pay 200K per transport all the way up to 1M each snoop. Clean out gold a bit to re establish gold value one the servers, as they are doing with high end runes on equipment.

Or... Do TH twice daily and never have to buy them again. :gamer:

Exactly like I said spend time.

I wouldn't mind being able to Snoop to anywhere there's another Snoop & it would definitely make it a nice gold sink.

Let there be a higher cost the "further" you are away from something.

It would make the programming easier too, since there'd be 1 Snoop book of transports:

You would click on Snoop & the game would say you are in Snoop [0] ( Logar ) and want to go to Snoop [1] ( Varanas ) then the cost is 10 gold. If you wanted to go to Snoop [49] ( Wall of Patrace ) then you'd pay 5 million gold. <-- Just making numbers up

Make it so players MIGHT want to just take Snoop jumps to save on gold ( or even ride their mounts ).

& likewise, if you start at Snoop [49] ( Wall of Patrace ) and want to go back to Snoop [48] ( city starts w/ 'H' in zone w/ Beth ) then it would cost you 10 gold, but if you wanted to go back to Snoop [0] ( Logar ) then you'd pay 5 million gold.

1 Snoop-y transport book to rule them all.

Even though I run TH as often as I can, I still end up buying transport runes as well. I use snoop, I use recall, and I use a LOT of transport runes. I wish transport runes would start making it into sales a little more often honestly ;) lol. Yes, I do that much transporting when I play (active guild doing things, me doing my own things, and helping guildies and friends with things who ask).

Also, ycavan, you are assuming RW knows how to use logic for programming, and as evidence has shown, they do not.

You know in old days, the "they want to sell transport runes" chestnut would be the first followup. I am so proud of the forum, it is getting less clueless.

*reads more* Well, not a lot less.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

I'm not sure, but I think vfwiffo is congradulating the posters to this topic. If that is the case, I would also give plusses to posters. There were some alternate viewpoints that were enlightening and NO bashing.

+++ to posters.

Someone misses me... :p

You can pick what answer you want - laziness, unwillingness to make change or lack of knowledge and skill...

Does it really matter, as this was asked many times and answered by GM as something they can't do...

As game is more stable if you less port between zones, than it would make sense to either fix snoop, or make sale of transport runes a lot.

Playing daily Andor training make possible to get 10 transport or 5 portal runes.

Now we know where the gold has gone.. Id just like to see a way back from places like Sarlo without having to crash several times to get there, but maybe thats planned in another zone or two ?

1m gold per transport is gonna loose a lot of people, and make sure we don't get new ones, maybe they should bring back the gold sinks for that issue

This would be a great idea I'm sure everyone feels the same way that this needs to be corrected and some sort of implementation worked on in concert with both GF and RW so that at least the cast majority of us would be happy. I just hope they don't do something like make the transport costs ridiculous
