Some notes for RoM management:
- IF you add a 'universal' level jewel per piece so this doesn't happen again on future gear level increases, you should make it cost no more than the cheapest ones now.
Example:
{Currently} - The "Moon Jewel - Blessing" IS item currently costs 5 diamonds, but only goes up to level 30.
{After change} - The "Moon Jewel - Blessing" IS item currently costs 5 diamonds and only goes up to level 999.
- Solution 1 might need to be clarified to say the following so there is no confusion on intention:
"Update all existing lower jewels a player currently owns to the highest ones on your end."
Example:
{Currently} - I have 6 perfect +12 armor jewels that can only improve up to level 70 gear.
{After change} – I have 6 perfect +12 armor jewels that can only improve up to level 90 gear.
- Keep in mind regarding solution 1 - If this sort of solution is used, you will need to keep doing it multiple times in the RoM lifespan once the current jewel limits have been passed..
- Solution 2 could even create another gold sink as another step to improve the server’s economy!
- The level of player discomfort is high (low, medium, high, critical) on plussing jewels where one of these sorts of solutions need to be implemented. To put things in perspective, if there was an identical game out there (lets call it “Rogues of Magic”

) where everything else was the same but these plussing jewel changes were implemented, I would go to that game and drop my current high level character in a heartbeat.
Alrighty then...it has been a long time and no one provided any negative outcomes of either two solutions in the short nor long term.
