Fix the unevenness of Siege between players

It's done on many games, and shouldn't be to hard to program in (easy to say that when it's not me that has to do the programming I know ;-)

How about this. When you enter siege BING, you become max level with maxed out skills. BING your armor changes to siege set.

Yep, every person who enters siege is now EQUAL for their class.

Fix flamers etc so that everyone gets feared and a caster can't destroy them while standing out of their range. Or just remove them all together. At the moment they seem to prevent low geared players from taking back a tower yet do nothing to defend a tower against high geared players (all being equal in siege would help with that too ;-)

As for Mercs. <sigh>... 48 hour cool-down on being able to enter siege once you leave a guild should fix most of my problems with that practice. As stated by many others on the forums in the past.

Let the flame wars begin, I know, I know you spent a lot of money to be able to just walk over people in siege!

One last suggestion. A "Surrender" button. For when those idiots on the other team just want to drag it out for the full hour and you're all over it and want to go do something fun, but still get loosing rewards. Hit the surrender button, vote comes up for players in siege, majority or 75% to pass, 5 minute timer and it's all over... if nothing else, at least give us that!

+1...i have been thinking about this, and talking with other people, and i personally would like to see everything scaled down to lvl 50...take the gearing system from arcanium arena(u can enhance gear inside the battlefield, for only that battle, start with blank gear each siege...or be able to pick a standard gear "set" as a base), and max all skills at lvl 50(yes, u keep 60 and 70 elites, they are just maxed at 50 like all the rest of the skills)...


pretty much make the pvp aspect of siege open to everybody, regardless of level/gear...


like i have said before, make the game more casual-friendly, and the population will stop decreasing...the "endgame or gtfo" aspect of this game is honestly one of the reasons (imo) of the declining playerbase...that combined with the cost of endgame...i mean look around...who is still here that is not endgame, or close(even if they don't think so)? and most are only endgame because they have been playing for years, and got over the gearing mountain back when it was cheaper/quicker/easier...

You can run instances in so much less gear than we have, but siege keeps you going going going going so that you can be that much higher than the other team. If all that hard work got completely taken away so that people who didn't do squat got to have the same gear, I bet you'd lose alot of people.

yes, i was also thinking about that as well, maybe IS items that gives perm buffs/gear enhancement in pvp? either that or make the gear scaling system such that if u have "OP" gear, u still have "OP" gear when it is scaled down...or IS item that allow u to keep a certain %(or higher %) of your normal stats?

Well make it like that GM event, give players all white gear, non plussed, non tiered, no runes nothing and let the battle begins!!!! I would do that once a month or twice a month and let's have real fun!! Let's see who got skills then, that would be awesome :thumbsup:

what zid suggested sounds fun. what the op suggested... no just no...

if your getting owned in siege level up and gear up.

I spent years getting owned in siege by people that out leveled and out geared me; and yet those were some of the funnest sieges i've ever been apart of. that feeling you get when you drop a max level with way better gear than yours is one of the best in the game. ;)

The flames and Elecs have become nearly worthless and should be changed to Percent Damage along with the guards since they have next to no effect anymore, but i,m wondering if this change might be scheduled with level 85 ??

Also with some classes being more op'd than others the white gear suggestion may cause a bunch more alts.

they did this once...the cheating was rampant(at least on palenque)...

however, sometimes in guild, we used to decide to all go and get the lvl 1 starter gear/weapons, or agree on a level and all use white vendor items up to that level and have a pk party...as well as doing naked(or with lvl 1 weapons, as sometimes u need certain weapons for skills) runs of all of our favorite instances...i would love to do this some more, as the people i used to do this with are now long gone...it was a total blast...

Good idea. I do like the surrender button also. Or at least figure a way to make them more even. Its no fun being run over and even less fun running someone over.

I disagree, the other day we were sieging our opponents gates, we place that many flames that the gate took over 50% hp just from the flamers, hell it was funny lol. Guards def need an upgrade though, 1 Kanches rend with a low blow on the big guy and they are dead....shouldn't be that easy.

I don't like the idea about white gear or that at all, if I want to do that I would go to arcanium arena. I go to sw to get a break from arena and I play to have fun. Yes its super buggy but yet everyone still goes there for badges. There is a lot of issues that need to be fixed for sw like the line of sight etc etc. But I don't see people should make pvp gear and then they should change pvp, some people have invested a lot of money making HP gear for sw and arena. So why now should that gear become useless? Chances are if they are killing you with that gear they would be killing you without it anyway so I'm sure a lot of the time it really wouldn't make a bit of difference.

Change Refine Steel to increase Pdef and Magic Infusement to increase Mdef. Siege is one shot enough already, we don't need more damage buffs...

That you can buy in siege? The only other forge/lumber yard/field buffs I remember decrease the damage you take from NPC's, increase NPC damage and healing. I don't remember seeing anything for Mdef/Pdef.

That's basically what defense buff from the forge does.. it decreases damage taken from players by a percentage. Yeah it's not a flat % pdef, but it'smore useful than that imo.

I'm not asking for Upgraded Defense to be changed. It will remain as it is, but all other buffs will further increase survivability, and we get even further from people one-shotting each other.

ooo, more defense...even more invinca-tanks...


would give a reason to use siege items though...


personally, i think ALL siege npcs, engines, catapults, ballistics, items, etc, should use % based damage...i know some do now, but it would be more interesting if they all did...would at least make them worth using...
