Is it bad that something would favor a guild able to run later instances better? I guess I just don't understand why that should even come into play here....

These games are designed to be a race to the top & to be the most powerful XXXYYYZZZ there is in the game. This game is pretty much get good gear, stat well & clear better instances. Yes, there are other things that can be done, like crafting, but in it's essense, this game is clear stuff - get better stuff.

If a guild has people capable of running HM instances and earns 10x the mems that a guild earns running a lower instance, why is there a negative connotation associated with that? Do better, get more... isn't that what we all strive for in games?

If we want to be "fair" about this world boss thing, World Bosses should have a table of everyone fighting them. When the boss dies, bags should drop on the ground & assigned like the bag drops in Chrysalia on up. This way, everyone has a "fair" chance of getting a PoM & if you don't open your bag in 60 seconds or whatever, it becomes available to everyone.

I believe the whole point of the post is that access to PoMs should be more equitable. There are many players who prefer to play in smaller guilds for a variety of reasons. Because of this they may simply lack the numbers to run harder content but still want to have decent gear for siege or just in the off chance they do get an opportunity to run something.

You're right of course Ycavan, any implication that end-game guilds are in any way exploiting simply by their ability to run higher content is just wrong headed. What I was attempting to illustrate was the ability of end-game guilds who can already down world bosses could also complete the same PoM requirements must faster. Not an exploit, but a clear advantage to players who already have access to PoMs.

Also, I'm in 100% agreement with your earlier post that the more a player puts into this game the more they should get out of it and I'll go even further by saying I think there are way too many people wanting the benefits of end-game without putting in the time/money/effort/etc. - who need to stop hating and move up or learn to stay in their lanes. :pump:

I was thinking that a group of 6 players could spam an instance together, RT norm has 71 mentos so 12 runs and they would all have enough for 1 POM. They could pool their POMS and then /roll the winner could pull 1 ring or cape. Odds are, even if the group did this every day they would only pull one OD item per week, and a couple good stats.

Seems like good fun, and it requires cooperation and sharing good things to encourage.

I call this the "Ring Run". :)

PoM's were the worst introduction to the game ever, but now that they're here and it doesn't look like they're going away anytime soon, I see no problem anymore with having greater access to them. I spent 130 PoM's a few days ago on gear, and got ONE OD piece out of three. Even being in a guild that can kill the WB's, 130 PoM's is a ton of PoM's. When you basically only get 1-2 PoM's after killing all the world bosses, the gear is way too expensive and difficult to get OD.

1 PoM per day for an amount of mems that would take hours to farm is NOT ridiculous. That's not even one pull a week, and at the rate it takes to get OD, it's not like anyones going to be getting full OD PoM gear and all the best PoM stats super quickly just off of that.

I think POMs should drop from world bosses the way men's drop... A certain # for each party member, but only from world bosses.

Idk why people think if this were introduced, world bosses wouldn't be getting killed, or worth killing... Yet, in reality, they very much would be killed just as often. Proofs are proofs, if you're limited to 1 from mems per day, world bosses would still be a priority.
