Is consolidating servers possible?

I've seen a lot of people that wish the lower population servers could be kind of meshed together to form 1 or 2 larger pop servers. Though would this even be an option for gameforge to do or would it be too complicated with name changes and transferring the data to another server etc? I don't know how that stuff works.. I'm not a.. server guy or something. :P

It seems like a good idea on paper, but is it something they could do easily?

Obviously playing on Reni we don't have as much of an issue as other servers but it seems that there are enough players on those lower servers that are hanging in there that it would be nice for them to have larger pools of people for runs.

Sorry if this has been brought up too many times, I haven't paid much attention to the forum until recently.

apparently no due to "technical reasons".

however, they overcame the "technical issues" preventing gm's from entering SW(which they have repeatedly denied being able to do), so who knows.

mages should stack dex. word.

This thread I believe mentioned something about conflicting data and items/characters with the same ID or something of the sort (I know nothing about this stuff either). It has some GM responses, a bit vague but still some responses.

That thread indeed has a lot of information on the subject. Conflicts, both name and ID, would be heavily abundant. As Yrcanos said, and I'll say as well, working in this position has given me an insight into the backend of things and I would have to say that I wish that to NOT happen to any of my characters on any server.

Server merges and/or character merges are not possible in any capacity.
