Runes of Magic US / AU

Lots of people on Palenque are experiencing similar issues. Some receive unexplained lag spikes into the millions while others, such as myself, only get sustained, above-normal, ping. For example, 3 guildmates said the lag for them was so bad that it actually booted them from the login screen; they couldn't even enter the game. Since I live right on Miami, my normal ping is between 10-16 ms and sometimes spikes to 30 but that's about it. However, lately, I have been getting around 40-50 as my new normal. I'm not sure what's wrong but I can assure it is not me, I can open all my other programs and surf the web normally, and my connection to Teamspeak server, which is also located here in Miami, does not show any irregular activity.

i had very bad lag issues a few months back, lasted 3 days once and 5 days after, couldn't figure out since i always have a ping of 47 to 63 in game. Trace it and there was a problem around New york area. Apparently there was work being done in that area and was causing it as per my internet provider.

Since then not much lag unless my kids use their damn PS4 or X-box machine on the internet connection. Those damn machines connects even tho they are not playing online, for spying purposes mostly but still. So if you have someone who uses them at your house, might want to reduce access on your connection from those crappy machines.

Their only crappy cuz you suck at em zid and yea my comp never used to give me this bad a headache in rom before its really bad in .........just about anywhere i lag so much more in placed like gch before this i never really had enough lag to make a difference for more than a few seconds now on first boss I lag. Enough that sometimes i start a few seconds late in pillers the moment the boss fight started my ping went from normal to in the millions and i can never avoid the bolders in tosh cuz as soon as they start dropping i lag and usually get hit cuz i cant see where to avoid em yet back to normal once im dead....
Not to mention i crash soooooooooooo much more than i used to sooooooooooo STOP USING SUCH A CRAPPY SERVER TECH -___________- from what i hear the german side has normal efficient servers yet the us is gods awful upgrade if you want money you'll actually mannage to KEEP players for a while cuz the lag is the #1 most annoying thing in the world a long time ago with a weaker computer i NEVER lagged and once the 77 cap begain i notice more and more as time goes on fix it -_-

EU also has a better internet infrastructure in general, you have to keep that in mind.

plus, since the entire EU is roughly the size of half the US, their pings and connection lengths are going to be WAY lower, especially for DE players playing on DE servers, which is like florida/georgia people playing on US servers...


in short, EU has better internet AND they are geologically closer to the servers. so yeah, i'd be surprised if they DIDN'T have better connections.

Well when i log into my EU account my ping is actually running at 20ms compared to 47ms to 93ms in the US, just seems as we go past the US border all goes to crap, infrastructure in EU is far superior for sure. Hope they could fix this and Aspho i just dislike console games, they really have nothing to offer that can beat a computer game, never did, never will ;-) Aspho come to TS so i can torture you again and again and again!!!!!

So much lag it isn't processing properly.

That usually happens when I'm about to get kicked off the server, which hasn't happened to me in awhile.
