New PvP Zone for all servers

I thought of a solution to keep PvP in the game even if they decide to get rid of PvP completely. I don't like the idea of a channel dedicated to PvP, because I think there is at least one better solution:
Create a new zone dedicated to PvP for fun.

So here is my suggested idea in picture format:

Link: http://i.imgur.com/LHRBKAa.png

This map would be a hexagon in shape.
This map would be about the size of Varanas or OS in comparison.
There would be 3 possible entrances (pink, yellow, brown). One in Varanas, one in Obsidian Stronghold, and one in Wailing Fjord. They would put you in a piece of land (the purple) that would have no PvP in it. Depending on where you came from (Varanas, OS, or WF) you would end up a different part of the map.
Inside the hexagon (blue), you would be able to PvP. The green area on the map would contain mobs that would drop daily items that you can hand in to an NPC at the entrances.
In the exact middle, there would be an area cleared out (white) for a world boss(red) and 3 mini-bosses (orange) protecting it.

As I said in the picture:
You'd get no TP or EXP debt for dying.
You'd never lose any items for dying.
Daily quest items are bound.
Daily quests give more TP and EXP than current ones.
The world boss would have NO quest associated with it. This would allow people who don't want to PvP from feeling like they have to PvP to get a quest done for EXP/TP.
The world boss would drop 10 proofs of myth, but the mini-bosses would drop nothing.

The reward from the daily quests and the world boss would generate people to come in there wanting to do PvE things in a PvP area. They could do this in the comfort of knowing that they will be penalized, such as losing items or gaining debt. The people who like to PvP could do so, against people who are also looking to PvP or those who want to PvE.
It would create fun scenarios for those who wish to utilize it, but wouldn't require anybody who doesn't wish to be involved to ever enter the area.

Nice.. A place to get ganked by hide-a-rogues that is not siege. Thank you, but, uh, NO.

That world boss would never, ever, ever get killed. That or it would cause a ridiculous amount of drama.

"Let guild clear out minibosses, gank them while they aren't ready, take boss"

"Wait till guild has engaged worldboss, kill them while they're focused on boss"

etc.etc.

It's not a place for everyone. Not everyone enjoys PvP and that is why people could make the choice not to go.

That is sort of the point, minus the drama. It'd be a zone that you would recognize before you went in there that you have a chance to get killed. That is why their is no negative consequences to dying. No exp/tp loss. No dura loss. No items lost.
If people are going to fight over the boss, let them fight over it. To the victor goes the spoils.

First, it's nice to see players trying to find innovative ways around certain issues with the game. :)

I’m completely with you on not wanting a separate PVP channel. IMO it’ simply not needed. At level 15 players can go do a quest in the class hall and get their PK ability to run around as they please in full PVP mode fighting with other PVP enabled players to their hearts content.

That said, I'm sorry to say I really can't get behind your idea right now for the following reasons:

1. We already have 3 PVP battlegrounds that hardly get used as it is: Visdum Fortress (3 v 3), Tyrefen Mountain Range (8 v 8 ) and Karros Canyon (6 v 6). Granted, this is based on my own experience though so I could be wrong. From my own past experiences, BGs were nothing more than overpowered players camping in BGs pwning low levels. I’ve read these are now level bracketed which is great but I really have had no experience with this since every time I’ve tried to enter a BG I have invariably found it is a minimum 1 hour wait to enter. Perhaps if these were available more frequently throughout the day we might have a better understanding of the number of people actually interested in this type of PVP.

2. This sounds a lot like a P/K enabled cross server Bolinthya Rift – another instance that is rarely if ever run right now.

3. Adding PVE to a PVP area seems counter intuitive as a response to creating a PVP area. On that same line of reasoning so would be adding additional world bosses to a PVP area.

Finally, the short answer is that I just don’t see the player demand justifying the development of something like this. Granted the majority of players seem to log on simply to siege but I think that has less to do with the actual PVP than it does having an event that guilds can do, as a guild, that everyone can participate in without level restriction.

I like this idea. Seems like a good way to get more xp/tp, as well as a way to get more poms. However, like stated before, it would definitely cause drama and QQ. But hey, people may start wanting scouts again to watch out for the rogues. So, main party (or parties, as you can make a 36 man raid) killing bosses with a second party dedicated to protecting the party that is taking down the boss. Would require both teamwork and skill to do it.

either way a zone, channel whatever doesn't matter and as far as the arenas I personally don't consider a small area true pvp might as well duel. This zone theory with bosses etc reminds me of UO spawns and yea they got ugly and there was whining but isn't there in any pvp. point being able to go to a pvp map whenever I want and would like to see something like this in the game.
