I'm just kind of curious how they're gonna define "active." Didn't a lot of AU players quit their AU account and make a US one when the AU server was moved to America?

lol... the "active accounts on the AU server". Why do I not doubt that's all Gameforge will do.....talk about easiest server transfer ever, move 5 people and you're done ....

Also, since we know that they are going to merge Thalia into an AU server, odds are, that server Thalia is merged into is probably going to be one of the final servers (if not the final server) after the merge is over.

I would hope that GF takes into account the fact that most of the Thalia players stopped playing when the server got sent to US datacenters and take that timeframe into account when defining "active" accounts.

I can only assume they're doing Thalia first because agruably before and after the move into US datacenter, it was the smallest server, less data to merge and after they're done with all the research and testing, it will be the easiest and the server with something less likely to go wrong.

I would also assume that as Zeri pointed out, I hope that Thalia will get merged into ONE server, and that server will be the final or one of the final ones, instead of merging or transferring data 2-3 times.

From what i understand, one server is being merged so we will have 1 less server.

This is also part 1, so they probably want something small as a great testing field to make sure nothing goes wrong.

Can't wait to hear more, oh and i didn't even know AU has a server or anyone played hehe.

I think they should look at the average diamond price on each server and before merging one server into another, x2 or x3 the gold on an account to match that of the server its going into.

Ex- Artemis has plenty of gold, and diamonds are average 120k each, indigo has little gold left, some players have quite a bit but that would be turned into peanuts if the same character was on artemis. Diamonds on indigo are average 40k each, so if indigo were to be merged into Artemis, I'd think every Indigo toon should get a x3 value to their gold in the move. It just makes sense for players who spend a lot of money on selling diamonds on lower gold servers like indigo, to get it all turned into nothing because of a merge.

As for same names, the one made first should simply stay, all those made after should be made to change their toons name.

These ofc aren't answers to you questions Heim, only my outlook on them and what I hope to see for equality.

Honestly, I think that the final server(s) will need to figure out their own exchange rates on their own. People will have different prices, and it will most likely even out in the median of the prices.

Well I mean, if you've been buying and selling dias to a small server for years, and have finally reached 1bill gold by providing so many with dias to progress. How is it fair to stick a toon like that on a server where you can make that same 1bill gold over 1 weekend diamond sale... It's just a hard hit to some people :p yea prices and currencies will adjust once its one or multiple larger servers but, from the start they should at least try making it even.

The only exchange rate that matters is diamonds to dollars, and they don't have to make any adjustments for that. Diamonds to gold prices are not at the companys' discretion, those prices are set by the players. Again, prices in the AH are set by the players. GF should make no adjustment one way or the other to anyones gold based on a server merge. To do so would raise many issues.
