Quest gear should come with bag stats instead of green stats

This came up in one of the discussions, so I thought I'd throw it in in the suggestion thread.

Would be nice if the blue quest gear sets you get from the 82+ zones comes either clean or with a bag stat instead of with 2 green stats. With the zones being increasingly difficult for casual players that aren't geared and enjoy the game without any any endgame content/endgame gear, this would make it a lot easier for them to be able to dirty stat quest gear in order to help them quest.

I'm not sure having them come 'clean' would be a good thing, or even with a Yellow stat. These items being statted with 2 greens is likely intended to encourage the use of a cleaner, since some of these blue items are quite good.

However, I do think there is a case for one yellow stat & one green. What I do think though, is that the Yellow stat on the items should be from the previous level of stats - i.e. if the Bag drops in the zone are rewarding XIV stats, the yellow stat on the quest reward should be XIII.

I have to agree with Inferiority here. If the intention is simply to make it easier to quest then perhaps just having a vendor sell single stat fusion stones without the current randomness, i.e. you can buy a fusion stone with 1 stat directly. This would make using bag stat to improve quest gear a lot more viable while still leaving the current option to remove green stats and clean yellow stat the quest gear for those who plan on using the gear past questing.

"Quite good item" is not a sufficient characterization to use "2 cleaners" (for start). On top of these, add all the huge cost to mod the item. If u r going to clean it, u ll probably plus it sufficiently high, stat it with sufficiently up2date stats, drill it.

Since item-modding cost is ridiculous at rom, u try/should-try to invest only at the best/almost-best pieces. After all, in the very end u will pay (in any sense) for the Abl, stats, clean stones, drillers, plussing gems.

Having these items clean from scratch will allow casual gamers to use them without modding them to the bleeding edge. Just throw 6 yellow stats and u can enjoy the class u like.

ps: not been in game for long but i dont think things have changed concerning the modding costs

While I agree that the cost to modify gear is somewhat prohibitive I believe that conversation is outside the topic of this thread. As far as holding out for the best/almost best gear though, I couldn't disagree more.

Sure, a lot of players do that, but it really is overkill for the majority of players. Let's face it, if a player is in a guild that doesn't or will probably never even come close to running end game content on hard mode then they absolutely do not need the best or almost best gear to enjoy the game at the level they are playing at. The best/almost best gear is not needed to run instances on easy mode, nor is it needed for siege to be competitive because pvp gear is an option open to everyone that only requires time to acquire.

As for using the quest blue gear past questing, I think that a full discussion of that is also beyond the scope of this thread as it is about modding quest blue gear to make questing easier and not discussion about best in slot gear and the alternatives.

To the OP, if the intent is to make quest gear better for questing then I'm all for it but where I see this thread heading is a desire to see quest blue gear as competitive or more than crafted gear is which I don't agree with at all.

My bad, I should have been more specific on what i meant by "quest gear". What i actually was thinking when I said quest gear was the 7 piece blue armour pieces, and not accessories.

Aside from the cape, they really aren't very good for anything else aside from questing, and I don't think a lot of people spend the extractors to clean them. I don't think those pieces will really ever be "competitive" compared to crafted gear - crafted gear is way better than the 7 piece quest gear, clean or not, but I figured it would be nice to make it more convenient for dirty statting - which, imo, is the most that people should have to spend in gear upgrading in order to just quest.

Whether they pursue endgame afterwards is actually irrelevant, I suppose. But it would be nice if questing in the later zones was spared the annoying part of cash shop modding at least.
