i think 18 seconds cap is my favorite solution so far, probably the easiest to implement too

It Also Wouldn't Hurt Low Level Guilds As Bad If It Were A Longer Cap Time. Just Would Require to Tank/Kite the Guards A Little Longer.

There are some guilds right now that are completely terrible and can't win a single fight, but they've perfected ninja capping so that is all they do the entire siege war. They can put buff alts on gates for days to prevent getting in and they have several people to ninja cap. It's a cheap, skeezy tactic.

I like the more people to cap a tower idea.

I don't really mind "ninja" caps but I do agree that immune caps are kinda lame, and they kind of work the same way.

But I can't really say I care too much one way or the other, siege war is mostly based on player skill and gear + number vs player skill and gear + number. And I don't really think "ninja caps" are a big issue compared to the other ones >.>

I Agree! Sadly, it has been going on for a very long time and it gets old quick. There should be another mechanic to prevent immune capping. I don't know how, but maybe some suggestions mentioned here are great alternatives than waiting last minute to ninja cap... Rather have a real siege war than 1 hour of Constant immune capping and Ch/M Alt spamming. :lol:

I definitely don't like the idea of making capping times longer. I sometimes feel like it takes too long, but I'm not sure about shortening it either. I think ninja capping is one aspect of siege that makes it more interesting than it would be if we didn't have that aspect. If you took that out then basically the stronger guild will win every single time, and equally matched guilds will draw every single time. You will never have that last second cap to sneak a win and that adds to the tension and fun all the way to the end.

Unpopular opinion - I think last second ninja caps add excitement to siege. You can never be too comfortable with a lead, but seriously, if a guild ninja caps 3 towers at once, you just deserve to lose. When the final minutes are approaching, search around for possible hidden rogues, keep track of the characters you know are the usual ninja cappers, actually have people at towers, etc.

FYI, silence can prevent someone from casting holy aura.

tbh i would much rather see ch/m barrier been nerf so guilds act have to fight to keep their castle instead of having 1 alt making it safe all day. at least make guilds deserve their shot at a ninja cap.

If You Can't Win one way or another, The Only thing you are really waiting for is for a ninja cap at the end.

I hate the way new siege has become with crazy OP guards so much of siege has come down to just ninja capping or fearless capping as much as possible over actually fighting people or for the castle or messing with anything else whatsoever.
A couple extra seconds on cap time would stop the most of it though and a little extra detection range on guards.

You guys complain about alts. Yet i gaurentee most of you use buff/debuff alts to run instances. Same thing imo.

I total agree with that statement. thats all the fun of sw is to so called "ninja cap" the towers. if they did make it longer then it would be as much fun.

I'm surprised at how fast the antics described in the forums about triple ninja capping in the last seconds of SW becomes a reality. Our opponents would have had to pull off at least one cap of three to tie and two to win. We were surprised by the bold attempt, but it failed
at all three towers, this time. I suppose with more practice they will get coordinated enough to pull it off successfully. Just one more exciting move to protect against.
I seriously can't imagine the cap time being any longer. Every time there are changes in SW we all learn to quickly adapt to them. We evolve along with RoM. Somehow it stays exciting and we keep coming back. Just play and have fun. I hope maintenance is done.
