Change P/W Condensed Rage to heal % instead of flat amount & max it at lvl 50

An interesting change to Condensed Rage would be to have it heal a % ( modified by gear/healing power ) instead of the flat amounts listed

Possible change could be: 0.5% @ lvl 0 +0.25% per level so it would max out @ 13%, which is then modified by gear/healing power.

25 Rage cost would remain
30 second de-timer would remain ( effect cannot be used again for 30 seconds after it has gone off )

Why do people feel they need to comment on things they obviously know little about.

Here, let me help you out.

Condensed Rage
45 25 rage Instant Instantly lets you enter Condensed Rage state for 900.0 seconds. When attacked in this state you recover 50.0 HP.
(Requires Battle Monk Stance)
This skill increases/decreases with your choice of gear and stats.
(After the effect has ended it cannot be triggered again for 30.0 seconds.)
+4.5 per level

That flat 50 +4.5 per level is a ridiculously small amount. Why did they even bother? At least with Ycavans suggested modification it becomes somewhat useful, though still, IMHO a waste of a skill slot.

Why not make it similar to the Wardens Heart of the Oak and just make it absorb the first hit?

I like the idea, but the 13% maximum is fine and shouldn't need to be modified by gear.

Correct - P/W is a DPS, but it's a DPS with some pretty nice self-heals and Condensed Rage could use the update. This is very necessary.

I did wonder about letting it absorb hits, but we have Holy Source for immunes already, as well as Soul Source for that "Oh crap!" moment.

tbh, there are sooo many changes that could be made to Condensed Rage, but I figured an update to the heal amount would be more acceptable. ( easier for the RW devs )

Heck, a better mod of the existing spell effect would be to have Condensed Rage add the heal effect to a pool, call it CR Heal Pool, and you use a companion skill to release the amount. So every 30 seconds of getting hit, CR adds what it would have healed you into that Heal Pool. When you need that heal, you "Release the Seal" ( use companion skill ) and you get healed for the total amount in the pool.

Condensed Rage is fine as it is, so no need to change it.

Read this skill-description very carefully, specificly the sentence: "This skill increases/decreases with your choice of gear and stats."



I have found out, after almost 6 years of playing the Battle Monk, that some arguments about the Battle Monk are incorrect.



A) as a Priest/Warrior aka Battle Monk you MUST wear melee cloth gear with melee non-stats, and stat it like a warrior

B) You are only a true Battle Monk if you're using an Axe and shield!



Gearing with melee cloth gear and wielding an axe, your heals are already at its lowest point, so why a 30% max healing penalty?



Condensed Rage (lvl 45 Elite) as well as Light Healer Fighting Spirit (lvl 60 Elite) are based on your HEALING power!!!



With melee cloth gear with Axe it will be LOW but your DPS will be HIGH

With melee cloth gear with Hammer it will be slighty HIGHER, your DPS will be slightly Lower

With healer gear with Hammer it will be even HIGHER, your DPS will be even lower

With healer gear with Staff it will be @ it's HIGHEST, your DPS will be on it's lowest



Since I became lvl 70 (about the same time the new eliteskills came out) I have decided to swap gear and weapon(from melee cloth gear and Axe, to healer gear and Hammer, and till today haven't regretted it sofar! Currently I auto heal myself for 2x my HP every 30 seconds using only Condensed Rage and Light Healer Fighting Spirit! Not bad for a DPS-combo :evilgrin:
