Make Quest Rewards a choice

Something that would help builds in this game is if the quest rewards were more dynamic.

Right now, you select 4 pieces: Plate, Chain, Leather & Cloth

Each of the 4 pieces is statted for Knight, Warrior, Rogue and Mage generally

My suggestion is to make quest rewards a 2-part process:
1. You choose the reward type: Plate, Chain, Leather or Cloth
2. You choose from 5 stat archetypes: Tank, Strength DPS, Dex DPS, Int DD or Healer

The reward piece is completed and given to the toon.

Or have quest reward give out better gear to begin with, because they are worthless.

Currently, I'm not even sure if a quest geared group can handle the elites in the zones like the quest descriptions ask for. Especially with the Jungle of Hortek and up.

The quest rewards are so poor that they all end up sold or tossed. It doesn't matter what material they are made of they are useless. Their stats are so poor and the ghost stats don;t help at all. Why they are still in the game is a question. They should create some worth while rewards for the quests. Currently the only good items are from instances or shells or eojs.

This is a matter where some improvements are greatly needed.

Are we playing same game? Blue quest gear, specifically accessories and capes, may not be best-in-slot, but they are nearly that. A fair number of people, after pulling 17th UD mem accessory, just give up and use those, especially those who are not aiming for most OP you can make statting.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

As rusty said, capes and accessories from quests r more than viable choices to get u to highest inis.

I believe that the quest rewards should come up with 2 yellow stats (bag stats) of the current level. For example the 91-92 quest rewards should come with 2 bag stats that drop in Kashaylan, 89-90 gear come with bag stats of Basin map, ans so on.

Apparently the stats should not be random and be class-specific. So lets say:
plate: sta/hp + sta/patt
leather: dex/patt + sta/patt
chain: str/patt + sta/patt
cloth: int/matt + wis/matt

This should have been implemented long ago, since bag stats came out (Tergothen Bay era if i recall). This could help lots of ppl gear their 2/3/4/5/6-th classes, or even their main ones.
