i interpreted it the exact same way.

As for those very few people who complains about k/m being tanky and OP in terms of damage, my question is, if over 90% of players here says that they can counter a well geared k/m and are able to kill her/him, why you Optomistic and TWMXC and patchat can't? since you want k/m's to get nerfed so badly. And if you are a skilled player or players as for sure you'd claim to be and can also counter a k/m? Then what's the whining for? Just answer them to yourselves coz everybody knows why you can't if most can..
not having a counter is NOT required as criteria for defining an OP class. just because your class does have an achilleas heal doesn't mean it's not OP.

it is a matter of balance. pros and cons. when there are many more pros than cons, then something might be wrong.

Hey guys Krayden here from Artemis. I play k/w main as an endgame tank in Valhalla Guild.
I'm stepping in to try ad stop this whole "nerf sod" stuff. That would hurt PVE more than it would solve the pvp issues it has.
I like the idea of it canceling upon removing shields though. (Fix sod reflected magic damage Kthx)
I suggest making the full attack of K/m's lightning burn weapon only able to proc if the target bares 4 holy seals.
That isn't impossible to accomplish 1v1. It's actually rather easy. Now if timed well with a skills player you could still probably take on 2 or 3 people. I think this would be a good nerd for that skill. It's also easy to accomplish in PVE so no harm done there.
Another suggestion is that each full attack proc just "burns" x% hp from the caster.
Or modify the damage of the attacks vs players like the reduce skills stun time vs players, saving their high damage capabilities in PVE.

---on a side note: speaking as an endgame k/w, Ad nerf did not break the class.
I've been knight main since chapter 1, don't get knights needed to the ground in PVE or I will rage hardcore. Keep in mind the non siegers when discussing nerfs to pvp.

Cenre for all your supposed knowledge about the game you seem to not really know a lot. Ya crafted gear can have a chance of Stam/Def, do you know how much ressources is needed to make one piece of gear? also gotta have your crafting at level 92. Also since you know nothing about crafting, you get a stam/def every 8-10 pieces you make ( approximation here) then need an RAE to remove said stat from it and if RAE fails need a puri to finally get the stat, cheap you were saying?

BTW Int/Matk drops also on crafted gear, mages expensive? really, you really don't know anything about crafting. The only issue people say gear is expensive and that's been for 6 years, end-gamers want the latest, shiniest gear around and stats and then complain the game is expensive LMAO. The game is as expensive as you want it to be and only yourselves to blame.

Ya tank gear drops a lot in instances lol same rate as other pieces of other classes. So if your server is 2nd most expensive to gear rogues, guess your economy is crappier than us or you just have a bunch of greedy people, but you play on EU, doesn't really matter to me.

Cenre you are QQ'uing about the same thing as the other about SoD blablabla, 1 hour of the day ( siege) for 1 skill, so let's kill Knights class altogether and make it the new scouts ( 4 years getting them fix back)!!! Also SoD is a good skill for lower and mid range guilds that can't burn hardmode bosses in instances like the endgame players can, no 20 seconds fights more like 2 minutes fight, but we all know we better make the 5% elites content and give them all they want or they will leave and the game will die LOL.

I don't hate endgamers, i hate endgamers that QQ the game is expensive because they upgrade every level cap ;-) ( not our fault they do that ) Although Reni end-gamers aren't whining like the other servers do about it, they came to accept it.

Also to Cike really??? We are all winners and we all should be equal, come on, tell me you just didn't write that? WOW

Knight SoD would effect not only pvp, so no its not for 1 hour. Ive seen tanks pull stupid amount of mobs and they survive because parry and SoD when mixed together is just stupid, if you think a nerf to SoD would "kill knights" then maybe you should learn to use your other skills, maybe you forget SoD was changed at 80 cap i think it was? Knights lived without it for many levels, sure you can handle a nerf hammer to it.

You are ofc assuming that you are using the best stats for stam/def, even statting 2 stam/def is enough, for that you can use basin and molton fire, dont even need to touch crafting., and yup i dont craft, i personally find it unenjoyable and if im gonna play a game for enjoyment i want to spend it doing something i want, but to get 1 stam/def out of 8-10 pieces of gear seems like BS, either that or your luck sucks. Friends of my server who craft for me have had bad luck to, but never that bad, last time friend did 15 crafts he got 6 int/matt or something, lucky? maybe but also seen others with similiar results. Yes mages might have int/matts on crafted. But pulling int/matt from proofs also is the worst rate of any other stat, not to mention that alot of stats on mage items are worthless(stam/matt stam/int wis/matt) makes less people pull it, if i was a rogue i could buy my stats from ah, but very few are willing to pull mage items purely because the chance of getting it is so low, not to mention that 50% of the stats are worthless, its more worth to pull for melee classes. Yup, in numbers tank gear has the same chance, but having ran endgame for a long time, % drops in a database means nothing. My guild ran pom since 87 cap, since then we've seen 1 mage pants HD, 2-3 rogue, 3 chain, and about 10+ tank pants. Same with crypt and grotto and bela and beth. Maybe just my guild who knows.

Oh drops on POM are bad bouhouhou, keep crying me a river and proving my points about QQ endgamers no matter what side you are on US or EU. I kept my POM'S from the event and pulled about 8 int/matk of the crypt, 9 str/patk, 8 dex/patk/ 13 stam/hp, 3 stam/wis, 12 stam/patk so you are unlucky on pulls. And most of the stats i gave away to guildies and friends for almost nothing, that is how greedy i am.


Your drop rate is really bad in instances then, as bad as the crafting for me :lol:

Endgamers are sooooooooooooooo bad! Dont you just wish you could ban them all and the server would be such a better place? Oh wait... Yea, you dont need to tell me i suck with pulling int/matts, know it already, just gotta look at my bank to see the 30 + stam/matt eons sitting there. But that was never the point of this thread. SoD becoming balanced would bring alot of balance to tanks and they would think more logically about tanking, knights rely on SoD now, and it honestly makes knights tank instances they normally wouldnt, that being said, instances like crypt i think certain bosses would need this, hence the suggestion of changing it to a cooldown skill for bosses, rather then a spam skill for trash. But i can see like many other posts you read what you want to read and spout our your usual crap you rotate from thread to thread.

Cike, I wasn't talking about the OPness of my class, remember what's the nerfing all about. Optomistic complains about being one shotted that's why people are trying to show him how to counter like gearing up, honing your skills in pvp etc. now, if there are ways not to get one shotted? What's the whining about? That's my point! Don't put implications when it's not implied and written! Coz that's where disagreements starts..

If outgeared players complAins about being one shotted by well geared players and then got nerfed, thats where unfairness comes to play. And that was my point! There's no implication there that putting money will determine my class not to be nerfed like what pyper and you interpreted coz you said you interpreted it the exact same way. that's why I said don't put words in my mouth. And the advantage I meant there is purely pvp advantage that maybe you and pyper misinterpreted too coz you put too much meaning into something not even implied!

None of the top players in game like ppk seem to worry about k/m too much..

Sorry I may have worded that part poorly. I don't think a nerf to SoD would kill the class, it would hurt, but not kill it.

I saw the conversation slip away from k/m elite skills and start talking about knight general an primary skills and thought that it may lead to an eventual nerf for ALL knight classes which is what I meant by "kill the class".

Yes I am we'll statted and a well skilled tank. I usually don use SoD on mobs tbh unless it's an accidentally pulled 5 extra guys thing, in which case I pop everything I have to save party lol. I mostly use it in conjunction with berserk on boss fights, as it offsets berserk pdef reduction.
I'm not here to stroke my epeen or bash anyone, I just want to provide constructive ideas to the discussion. I agree K/M needs some balancing in PvP. they are op yes but not gods. Ive even managed to kill a few on my K/w lol (granted they weren't All t8 t9 on everything, but still) I think the nerf should go to their skills not to knight general skills or knight primary skills. At least a modification to the skills so they have less damage or effect vs players.

I don't want them ruined for PVE, as I think it's cool a knight class can do damage and whatnot an I know a few guys that play k/m main in pvp and PVE.

I would be able to agree with lengthening the CD of sod to 1.5 or 2 mins.

False, the reason why knights don't deal damage (aside from k/m in this case) is because everything is geared towards building agro, not dealing damage, tanking (ofc), and having great crowd control (every class has some sort of disable but knights have the highest potential) it has a way to increase it's abysmal damage by "devotion" which isn't capped and gives very little percentage per level up literally you get 20.2% healing/light damage at skill level 80... so let that sink in for a moment, in comparison to every other class this would have been capped at level 50 and wouldn't have such a high amount of TP cost just to even get to that level. If anything it needs to be condensed to being capped at 50 just like any other damage boost and at 20% light damage/healing received (25% should be the highest it should ever go at all if this were to happen), also k/w has weapon master as an elite skill at 20/20 (goes up to 38% capped for hammers/swords/axes). To top all of that off all of it's skills has a lower base amount of damage (compared to most DPS classes), skills also don't scale as high per level as in comparison to any DPS class. So even if they did have the weapon masteries like you speak of they still wouldn't amount to the DPS outside of going k/m anyway because of these reasons.

Make Shield of Discipline buff disappear if you have no shield (this prevents them from getting the damage reduction and switching to 2h hammer to deal massive damage. I Am really hopeful that this nerf will happen someday. Its Brought up so much attention!
Clearly everyone has something to say about K/M, how its unbalanced and needs adjustements.

No, I'm saying this because the skill says on it that it requires a shield and you can't use it without a shield equipped. If you don't have a shield equipped, why do you have a buff that requires a shield to use? If you swap shields, you would still have a shield equipped, so you would keep the buff.

The reason why Wisdom and Bravery doesn't adjust to gear when you swap is because, when you cast the buff, it calculates the raw amount of int ti give you and uses that number for the buff. If the buff said that it gave you int equal to 50% stamina and 50% strength, then it would adjust, but only the skill says that, not the buff.

same general process having a second-by-second status check for the skill. doesn't exactly matter what is being checked, but a check is being performed.

i'm under the impression snowbella's main argument is that she is outgearing the people she fights and thus it's normal she 1 shots them. If it is a matter of gear only, why don't all aurora's k/m go m/k next time they siege vg, ez co or even tarrasque. a guild that shows up and fight and that they normally beat and see how that goes, if it's a matter of gear they should still win right?

Maybe they don't have staffs and only 2h hammers? xD Maybe they invested reset tickets into knight and their mage has no tp?maybe they just like k/m over m/k. Asking them to switch for one sirge to see how it goes is just... Even if someone argues its the gear its also going to be other factors.

That's like telling all the R/M's to switch to R/D next time they siege... and then saying "you dont want to siege as R/D? That means we need to nerf your R/M!".
