Buff Card Stat Values

I think that cards in the game should have a 10x stat value increase. They are rather rare and have such low almost negligible stats currently.

at 10x current values a moderate collection would be close to a high level pet in stat gain instead of the mostly gimmick value it currently is.

One quick way would be to change the stat value increases into percentages.

Is a good idea ;)

i'd love a new function to change your pet skin to one of the cards you own ... I'm tired of my parrot (like all magic classes)

NO, no, no, and again: no!

The power creep in RoM is way off the charts already and you want to make it possible to be more powerful?

We are the ones driving the costs of the game higher and higher, in case you hadn't noticed.
We are the ones who like to make our weapons and gear that tier higher than it used to be.
In response to what we do, Runwaker make the next zone and instance that little bit harder than it needs to be.
We respond by making our gear and weapons yet another tier higher.
Next, we complain about the game being expensive and accuse Gameforge of deliberating making the game expensive.

No, we are the ones making it expensive.

If Gameforge were to reduce the prices of stuff, we would likely respond by just making out gear and weapons another tier or two higher. It wouldn't be cheaper - just the same amounts of money would be spent.

No, I say we just leave the cards as they are and as what they are meant to be: a negligible boost for those that want them, and an unnoticable extra for those that just don't care about them.

Indifferent for if it stays the same or a small boost is added.

However, I am against it changing to a % value. Example:
- Player 'A' has 30,000 int
- A particular card gives 0.25% boost to int

Player 'A' gets a bonus of 75 int when card is added to their character. That is just one card! Granted, the % increase can be smaller/higher, but you should get the point.

Agreed with the idea and was about to suggest it too

For stats value:
Stat +10
Stat +20
Stat +30

Physical Attack/Magical Attack/ Magical Defense/Physical Defense +50
Physical Attack/Magical Attack/ Magical Defense/Physical Defense +40
Physical Attack/Magical Attack/ Magical Defense/Physical Defense +30

It would make the cards, that are so hard to get, worth the job and not just a impossible to complete ``Collection´´
I guess the cards exist since the begining when endgame stats gave like 30 points.....stats grew up, cards should too
Listen to the players and improve the game
For God's sake Teleport crystals inside instances and revival site and shop outside instance entrance

For a long time cards had no stats at all. They were just something to collect with no benefit. I remember when they added the current stats to cards, prices of cards skyrocketed!

Personally,I like Docdeserter's idea. Cards enable you to change the skin of your pet to a creature you have the card of. The pet would keep its attributes and skills, but the skin would change.

More power is good, endgame population is so small might as well give them a little push to help them along.

I'm for a boost in the values, but not a percent based one and not a 10x boost. As it stands now, with each zone added and the increase in stat value of everything else, a 2x or 3x boost should be more than acceptable to most. That type of boost would help, but yet still keep them mainly as a slight edge for those who have over those who have not.

I wonder if the cards system could be revamped allowing:
1. permanent stat boost while the card is in your book ( current )
2. Consume a card for an effect based on the card.
3. Feed card to pet to modify pet stats and skills

ie, Abyssal Shadow - Undead +1 strength while in the book
Consume the card to perform one of the following:
1. 5 minute buff, Abyssal Shadow protects the user and absorbs 1 attack
or
2. Releases Abyssal Shadow to restrain the opponent, slowing attack speed and movement speed by 25%

Now, if this card is fed to your pet, it could start turning your pet into an Undead type pet w/ benefits/weaknesses associated w/ Undead types. Not sure exactly how this system would work, just pointing out something that could be fun to toy with.

Cards had some value a while ago but with the current stats over 10k for most people 1, 2 or 3 to a stat is meaningless. With people hitting for 10 million how does a plus 3 to 5 damage really help? Some adjustment should be made to make it worth while to try to get a card. The idea that the skins of the cards could be applied to your pet sounds fantastic. 10x is a minimum even adding 30 to a stat is not going to unbalance anything and the average would be 20. There are 9 different card stats _{physical and magic defense, physical and magic damage, strength, dexterity, stamina, wisdom and intelligence) so on an average you will have 11 cards of any one type for each 100 cards you have. A stat from the cards will average 2 so currently you get about 22 added to any single stat for each 100 cards. Even if you have 1000 cards which would make you a extreme collector to say the least you only are getting 220 added to your stats. The defense and attack stats are even lower. So your whole card collection would be worth about 5 current stones. (186 stat and 186 stat + 20% ) in addition 2 of those stones would be of no value to your character as the stats would not help your character. Currently cards are not of real value in the game. Even a 10 x increase in the stats on the cards would only yield 220 additional to a stat for every 100 cards you have less than a current stone.

Without knowing how many cards you have and what your PATTK is currently with all buffs this doesn't help at all. Please give us all the stats and how you came up with the total. The actual damage difference would also be useful,

First, @inferiority: You are right on the money with your post.

Second, I submit that changing the values of each card would be a very time consuming (read expensive) task with little to no return so I really don't see this happening very soon. As an alternative, I would suggest that to improve the attractiveness of collecting monster cards, they could simply implement a title at various stages that grants bonuses. For example, at 500 cards, the player gets a 2-4% increase in all attributes, at 1k cards, the player get's like a 5-10% buff to all attributes or something along those lines. Something that helps justify the effort players make to collect the cards but doesn't create insanely op toons. Just my 2 cents.

If it is a cumbersome reprogramming for each card, I would agree with Tuulikki. It seems that it could be a fairly simple thing to do also, depending. If it's cumbersome, then no, if it's not, then yes, but still recommend the 2x or 3x boost which is more about keeping a similar edge to having a lot of cards then to not having a lot.

What they would need to do (being very simple here, idk what the actual process would be to be bug free, etc) would be to go into each and every card, change the item description, change the value the card actually gives when in the monster compendium, and change the descriptions in the monster compendium for each and every card. And there are a ton of cards (just ask Doomed ;) lol)

I actually agree that it's probably set up that way. But it's possible they used foresight when they first added the stats to the cards and the description, graphical representation number in the stat value in the compendium, and value added to your stats are all linked. Even if they are not, the stat value added to your character should? be able to be changed with not too much hassle, which, while leaving the description and compendium incorrect, would be what was most important. If even that's not possible to do easily, then it's probably a wasted discussion, but heck, aren't most of these discussion such? :)

I'm very familiar with the amount of cards we are dealing with btw. :)

Yea, it would be a ton of work even if they just changed the amount that showed up on the char screen. Even if they just changed that, they would need to change it for every card (I highly doubt they could just put a multiplier for the stats added from cards ebfore being added to the char screen total, and if they could, I could see them doubling all stats, regardless of if they're from cards or not ;) lol) So, yea, getting them to change the values is worthless. The easiest solutions I saw were: Enabling pet skin changing to a creature you have the card of (no skills/abilities/stats change), and adding titles that give a % boost based on which cards you have to all attributes.
