Pick the stats you want

50% increased cost for the exact stat you want on anything, rather it be PoM pull, shell, or even dreamland, if you are looking for a specific stat you can pull it but for an increased price that will take longer to get it, or you can still risk getting something else for the normal cost.

Allow us to pick and choose what stats we want to get while pulling a piece of gear instead of a random one from any pom/dreamland/shell/energy vendor, this would help speed up the statting process of gearing up your character

Pull a piece of gear -> stats show up like a quest reward having multiple options, but instead showing stats that the piece of gear can have on it.

Just take wis/matk out of the cloth pom stat pool. Terrible stat. Make your players happy, just this once. :)

wisdom/matk is the most retarded stat ever. It's like the magic version of Dex/Patk but I don't think anyone even gets matk from Wisdom. Druid? I really have no idea.

everyone would go for the garantied stat. for this option to have any meaning you would need to make it 4x the cost for shells since shells are 1/4... oups that's higher then the shell limit. for poms it's different since more then 1 stat has value, think 3x the price is about a fair offer

remove all mage states that end with mdef or def. They are useless but show up more often than anything.

I have two opinions here:

1) yes go back to guaranteed stat pulls on items. Used to be if you wanted stam/magical attack you bought item X, or if you wanted another you bought item Y. If you wanted the gear for OD use... then you had to deal with the stat after you got your OD item. I think this system worked fine except that it benefited some classes and not all. Let the items have the stats that ALL classes can use. DONT increase the cost for a guaranteed stat. Why you may ask? I thought GF would have realized by now that if people get stats quicker/easier they are MORE likely to regear as they can get the stats easy. By making it take 3 weeks to get the stats for ONE item, they are cutting their own profits cause most cant regear if they don't have the stats and thus they don't spend the money.....

2) Or they could just remove the stats no one uses. Put up a poll on what stats should be in the pool and pick... 2-3 stats. Still make it random and keep the cost the same. The reason? Same as above, easier stats to get means more regearing, means more stuff in the AH, means more buying Diamonds, more selling diamonds, overall prices should come down and gearing looks more attractive for all.

For me this has always been a simple solution. GF could make MORE money. I would have figured that they have seen the correlation between PoM events and spikes in sales. This should be straight evidence to them that MORE stats is BETTER for the game....

Ok ill stop ranting.

I concur with Dkjester. If nothing else, GF could simply change the weighting on the loot tables so good stats drop more often than they do. Heck, just swap the weighting numbers with the bad stats so good stats drop the most and players occasionally pull bad stats if they must. It really does not make much business sense for good stats not to drop more often as that is when players spend more money on things like puris instead of just vendoring the gear or turning it into a tierstone. Now more than ever they game needs some type of infusion to get players motivated to play again and maybe stick around for awhile.

Seriously, 3 weeks? It takes even longer if you don't settle for older stats or bag stats. I completely agree with you, DK.

Tuu, on shell stats (haven't checked EOJ best gear, POM gear, or mem gear), the stat rate is 25% for each stat. The problem is that there are more bad stats than good stats.

Now this I can agree with much more than my opening post, but with the request of the piece of gear showing what stat they will get with it as well.

TBH I'd like the idea of choice being there instead of getting rid of anything someone might want to build (if they really want to I guess, can't tell everyone to build the same way). That way if someone down the road somehow finds a want/need for it they can easily get what they want so long as the stats stay the same line and there's a reason to get the other currencies outside of shell/poms (but then again who or what class combo would build wis/matk anyway?).

back when Tosh came out and before that is how it was. I remember buying x necklace showed you would get stam/magical attack, buying y necklace showed that you would get a different one, etc. There wasn't a dex/pattk, or str/pattk that I remember but that was one of my major suggestions back then was to add them. Then they removed the static stats for random ones. I geared much more back then cause I knew if I farmed for 3 hours I would get a stat I needed. I would set aside weekends and grind grind grind and make 1-2 pieces of gear a week and spent far more on diamonds back then.

Sounds like I missed it during a prime time to play, but then again RoM has always had it's own faults and always will (just how it is). Somethings can be fixed though which is why we are here :beer:

You can't removed pourcentage drops from the game, they wouldn't be able to complete their government testing on us of it. See now a lot of STAM/??? stats are not selling since all new instances are pourcentage based, so no matter if you have 1M HP or Defenses, doesn't change anything. Lower HP less hard on the healer but then you get a bunch of stats people don't want to use or useful at all. Gives us STR/STR or INT/INT stats and evryone will be happy

I think stat pulls should just be better. This game could use a bit less grind and a bit more time spent on doing fun things.

Raise normal mode stat drop rates and we'll all be a lot happier.

Game has a way to pull good stats - unfortunately those pulls are POM based. Making mems pull bad stats was a bad bad decision. Mems were always "ok, maybe your gear or stat didn't drop, but at least you got something of value", which encouraged instance running. Making mems nearly valueless discourages runs, and that is bad for game.

Being able to spend extra mems to get better quality item/stat or at least a chance for one would be a good change. I don't think 50% is nearly enough, though, but getting normal or hard stats at increased cost would encourage me to actually look forward to pulls, instead of going "meh, I am not wasting mems on this junk, I'll go and buy mats instead"

I agree with this, I think I'll try and update the OP later on the topic change from increased blah to "improve the gearing process" at this point.

Sometimes you don't always get what you want with POMS, however at the very least those are some good pulls you can get in comparison to anything else that is possible atm.

Perhaps allow for stats in one vendor and gear in another.

Surely you are jesting. There is no way in hell that dex/patk and str/patk have the same frequency as dex/matk and str/matk. The odds of getting the premium dps stat is at least 1 in 10 or maybe as bad as 1 in 15. Also, stam/patk has a much higher frequency now than stam/def, although in the past it was the opposite.

In case you don't believe ROM is devious enough to manipulate percentages to annoy the hell out of its players I'll ask you, do you think the odds of getting to +6 or +12 on plussing jewels is the same as getting to +2 or +8?

This ridiculous need to create ten alts and running them through gobs every day just to get the stats you need is one of the reasons why I suspect that the people who design this game don't really play it.

jfyi you can't pull yellow stats with PoMs. Yellow stats can still be the best stat for 4th-6th stat depending on the way you stat. So good stats are pulled with varying currency.

PoMs still have a really bad rate. From personal experience, Keeper(Stam/HP) is pulled way too often way too often compared to say Control(Int/Matk).

Technically not statistically significant, but w/e. Was trying for an OD POM chest earlier this week, pulled 12 cloth chests and this is what I got: 1xInt/Matt, 2xInt/Stam, 2xStam/HP, 3xStam/Wis, and 4xWis/Matt. aand, interestingly enough highest dura pulled was 99 (suks to be me). :blackeye:
