100% agreed with Zeri, make siege worth going to again! Since its by far the best aspect of this game.

I don't know how it is set up now but maybe this idea would fix it.
Take the guild score and divide it by 100,000 ( which will make it a decimal ) and then add the guild level to it.

Examples

GUILD LEVEL------------- SCORE----------- RESULT
-----13----------- ----------400 -------------13.00400
-----13--------------------- 575------------- 13.00575
-----14-------------------- 1600 -------------14.01600
-----15------------------- 44000------------- 15.44000

The 2 13s could pair up but would not be paired with the 14s or 15s, etc.

Nah, your idea would create the same problem that we're trying (hoping) to fix. You're basically ignoring the score and just using guild levels. Ex: What if another guild lvl 13 has 44000 pts and another guild lvl 15 has 400 pts? You will end up with two guild lvl 13's and two guild lvl 15's with widely disparate scores fighting each other. Guild level has nothing to do with siege score, which is the problem ROM has created with their last patch.

How about a win lose system.

Losers face losers, winners face winners.

Would not just be based on that, but plays a factor.

I would like to remove guild level from the match up as players would only abuse that system and it does not tell you how good a guild is at all but how much mats they used only. Unless guild level was reworked to be based on how strong a guild is, it should not play a role.

Now even with a win system, you still need to a way to make sure 300 point guild that won does not face 4k point guild that won from yesterdays match.

i know just going back to old way is easier, but we want better too!

My suggestion (which was iterated not only by me but by others as well on both EN and US forums):
Being completely honest, they should just return SW to how it was before with the exception of making declaration of war not affect points.

My suggestion I posted without other text in post 60. Yours had come before this. If you're going based off of the fix compared to the suggested fixes, my suggestion was the one implemented. If they implemented it because of my suggestion is unknown, and I honestly don't care if it was or wasn't.
