New Tempest Height sets need changes

I know these were just added, but going by what I've seen so far these may be ridiculous to obtain
20 per piece of 1 type of mat where 5 different types exist and the rate is seemingly low to obtain them
not to mention the requirement of ancient keys to even have a chance to obtain the mats

Not to mention the gear itself is pretty bleh yet it's likely one of the most time consuming and/or expensive sets to probably even try and pull a single piece


I feel the number of mats and I would assume the drop rate should be adjusted as needing 20 mats with a low rate feels ridiculous

Well try crafting then loll i agree that 20 is a bit much, knowing how ROM randomness comes also into account when pulling them, unless they give automatic 110 OD like questline gear ;-)

But this is going to be a money maker for them either way, wonder what stats comes from them too.

i already looked into that
<statname> of the Arcanium, Yellow stats, 210
the chances are good stats are kind of bleh (stat/pa are on a 40% table, with a 25% within that table)
the items drop 2 stats and the 2nd table of stats are pretty much all useless stats

Basically a 10% chance at the stat you want ;o But also the yellows are = to the current best orange stats so there is that.

i feel like a better alternative would've been to just have 1 currency from the chests and let players pull the sets they want, i dont see anyone managing to get 20 of the same set anytime soon, not to mention massacre items are useless to a mage for example. Or they could just offer a swap at the npc or something, but currently i dont see a viable way for players to get these stats(and items but from what ive seen they look preety terrible)

It is only tempest heights after all ^.^ But yes the collectible mat should not be for a certain set agreed, it should just be collect 20 of these and pull a piece from which ever set you would like to pull from.

Right now all the mats are bound. Maybe a good solution is to unbind them?
That way we could trade/sell the mats we dont need.

Well in TH last night open 60 chests and got 15 of those mats so ratio seems pretty nice. People shouldn't think they implemented that for you to get it in one day, but then again it doesn't surprise me.

Unbinding them could help people trade them for the ones they need but i don't think they will do that, more chests opened and more money in their pockets ^^

well they can't expect everyone to be able to open a ton either (i'm stuck sitting on around 120 chests atm)
yes unbinding them would be nice
but the requirement to get a pull and the huge range of stats with only 2-3 decent ones (I think they all have Annihilation+stat/pa or ma on the table and plate also has protection) kind of seems a bit much, not to mention these always come dirty as well (although at least the dirty stat could possibly work as a 210 pusher)

the mats in LoDD/CoWD still get picked up as bound, but when you split them or move them they become unbound. But i doubt new items would mimic that behavior.
A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

As much as I'd love to say I offer consulting services, the scope of things broken is too large.

they are weird. AS they drop in to your backpack you cannot mail them without getting the item is bound message, yet pick them up and drop them one spot over and you can mail them as if unbound.

ok another reason I feel this needs some changes
as it currently is, it's EASIER and MUCH CHEAPER to just afk Arcanium Arena to get a chance at the exact same stats from just as not so useful gear, even with the fact it's buggy, not to mention the fact you can pick and choose what set to pull, with TH you have no choice as the mats you get are random

still I think it'd be nice if the one requiring more activity and only available 2 times per day thing would be a better and faster alternative to something completely afkable and available all the time

Although i am pretty sure some have found a way to bot it as they always have that special someone who will come up with the ways too. If you are there to put your toon and toons in, typically not AFK, even some people thank me for having my alts there so they could do it more often as if you would only have 8 people trying to get in it.

If it wasn't working as intended, they would have disable it long time ago. Enjoy it, cherish it and get your rewards :P

I just find it weird a method like this, is the easier way
and by AFK I meant more of paying little attention to it, and I actually do step away sometimes when I've gotten my character into a round
