dunno if you guys submit your own stuff/suggestions, but it might be worth a shot to use youtube videos as examples of how the game is being played
Quite frankly I'd like to see a relabeling of some threads to see if it's being considered being put in game [possible], has been put in [coming in patch x], or being ignored/won't put in [no]

If you can find a vid that isn't lag-ridden, bring it. It couldn't hurt.

Are you -sure- you want this? I can envision a future where we get threads or PMs like 'Wailey! why did $person's suggestion get forwarded and not mine? Why did mine get a [no] so fast?' Just exactly as we now get 'why did I get a warning/ban/post removed and $person didn't?'
Also, it's a very meta thread. Suggestions about suggestions...
^ ^ ^ i almost spit out my coffee reading this...lol
^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

discussing reasons for supporting an idea essentially removes the ability for people to support an idea/suggestion/person for a reason completely unrelated to the topic, thus increasing the likelyhood that the "most liked" suggestions are actually suggestions that the players want, and can justify.
if the players can't justify why they want something, then they obviously don't need it, and GF/RW should take no steps towards implementing it.
they aren't asking for a thesis here, simply post your support and why you agree. it doesn't have to be long winded. simple postion+rationale is fine, even if the rationale is quite consice.
That's why +1 or a like is good, if they do implemented it they should also put a dislike or -1 to it simply stops drama and people trolling and trashing threads which I've seen plenty since my time here.

+1 still seems fine to me. I will add that if you really support a suggestion strongly, it's probably better to add more than that, because the total volume in text from disagreements could seem to drown out what actually could be a fairly popular suggestion.
Except arguments against an idea raise challenges to it. To some, they may not see certain disadvantages without them being raised, even if it is just one person raising them. This also allows the OP to support his/her position further and make the suggestion stronger as a result. The same thing can happen with support from other players, as well. One person may agree for their own reasons, and that reason may be completely opposite the reasoning for the OP. Ultimately, a discussion is better. However, there is a point in a thread where no one comments because every reason for agreement and disagreement have been covered.
You're right, warriorking. Adding a +1/-1 to the forums wouldn't remove the possibility for discussion. However, it will cause some to just +1 or -1 without giving a reason. Whenever someone agrees or disagrees with something, they have a reason why they agree with it. That is (imo) why the forums currently doesn't have this feature: to try to get people to explain their reasoning.

i've seen this discussion on this very forum at least one other time i can think of off my head. this isn't some new groundbreaking concept. it hasn't been implemented because the people that run the forums, and the same people that handle communicating all the suggestions, don't think it is a good idea, or will have a detrimental effect on the process, or it simply isn't the highest priority, and is on the back burner for the last couple years. And it hasn't been implemented because no one probably brought it up to now.

Yes, it has. It was talked (typed) to death several years ago (prior to GR restructuring of the forums which lost a lot of the discussions regarding the +1/-1 addition to the forums.)
And it hasn't been implemented because no one probably brought it up to now. No point in the discussing something if it's already been pointed out.
