Runes of Magic Advertisemnet

Although this suggestion has been made many, many times by quite a few different players, obviously it must have gone into File 13 (the circular bin) probably because it was included with a wish list of other suggestions; perhaps because it was not formatted to the direct specifications necessary for suggestions to be taken seriously. Who knows.


In light of this posting on Runes of Magic forums: "http://board.us.runesofmagic.gameforge.com/board272-runes-of-magic-us/board265-news-announcements/board554-events/" , We as long time players of Runes of magic respectfully request and would like to suggest that Runes Of Magic get advertisement recognition on all Game forge games.

Pros: Increased player base resulting in increased revenue for Game forge; unity of purpose

Cons: Some of the players enticed away by advertisements like the link above may return, bringing with them those who have never heard of Runes of Magic due to lack of advertising thereby losing players and revenue from those other games.

This suggestion directly impacts the wallets and coffers of GameForge, but guess what....If you lose people and profits from the one game you are advertiseing, you will recoup it on the others.

I love how they advertise other crappy games on rom website.

They should make a contest where players edit together videos and add sound tracks or w/e, that they feel best sells rom, which GF can then just use as advertisement material, saving themselves the headaches of making one. Chances are they would screw it up even if they did make one.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. Referred advertisement is a cross promo which was posted in several platforms of Gameforge, so it is not dedicated only for RoM.
All our games are advertised in many different form of marketing promotions, also RoM campaigns are delivered to all GF users in the past.

we haven't seen any advertised promo or ads for Runes of Magic in what?? 4 years?? this just seems to let's rub it in their face type of action. Hard to get new players in when no one can learn about the game anywhere, players can only do so much to get players in game. Would be about time Gameforge does their bit on that issue.

Well I doubt they're going to advertise RoM within RoM. So unless you're playing other GF games, you probably won't see it.
