Before Siege war comes out of beta...

Can we please have a fix so that players don't loose their merits, as well as upgrades bought from buildings (drill ground, library, etc) when they crash in siege? Thanks.

This would be really helpful. too many times i gather up the merits to get herald and i crash before actually getting herald ;(


Obviously this can't be just as simple as keeping it in your bag, or putting a time limit on these siege items. Most of the things in siege war are only siege war related, but something like battle time and assault time would have to change. Probably a simple change to something like "Usable only in Siege War". Same thing with flame towers, traps, eyes, etc. Imagine bursting beetles outside of siege? :O

Merits could be dropped into your bags when you re-enter, or change it to a virtual currency instead of an actual item in your bag. So you'd just see a number saying how much merits you have, and if you want to trade someone merits, you could just type int how much you want to trade in the trade window like how we trade gold, and that much merits would be traded. Presumably the game has some way to cashe these data even up to the moment you crash, since if you crash, any currency you just earned doesn't disappear.

As for buffs, we know they can apply buffs when you enter siege. If you re-enter siege, you re-gain your defense upgrades and such. It would be a matter of storing the data as to who already has what buffs.

I agree, this is something they should. They already have some safeguards in place... If herald crashes, when that roon gets back in, they're still herald. Please do similar for siege items.

Warden pets should be affected from the sw traps, ofc the dmg from the towers can be scaled down if needed (shouldn't be needed as most pets usually have the same of not more hp than the warden).
Warden pets' dmg should also be reduced due to honor gear.

Totally agreed.

And not only merits. All the sw items. I dont really care about loosing traps, but HELL, have you tried to fight when the herald crashed with all the extractors in his bag? :lol:

The easiest thing to do for RuneWaker would be:
1. add a Siege backpack page.
2. give Merits & Siege Items a 60 minute timer
3. ONLY merits and Siege Items are allowed in this backpage page.
4. Merits & Siege Items are automatically placed inside the Siege BP page
5. Siege BP page is only unlocked when inside the Siege zone.
6. Any Siege Merits/Items NOT inside the Siege BP page will be deleted after leaving Siege

This should prevent possible abuse ( that I'm sure GF is concerned about ).

Badge count is fine. Kill streak system just sounds bleh. But they should make it so rewards are the same for the entire guild.

This is the essential point. As a healer, healers get royally screwed in siege war even though a lot of these OP tanky classes wouldn't be half as good at clearing whole guilds without their pocket healers. You shouldn't get more rewards just because you farmed merits the whole time or are able to actually kill things.

Should definitely make the rewards not entirely based off merit count. Factor in kills, damage done, healing done on players (buildings idk since d/wd and p/l would be too easy), damage received, merits, occupations, all of it!


also side note, would be nice to be able to give assist in the siege party, or pass lead w/o having to be in arm's length

Just rework the War Record like MOBAs

There's two different categories for damage. "Siege Damage" (Buildings, Guards, Balloons) and "Hero Damage" (Players).

Could do the same for Heals. Then just reward the Top 3 of each category with the best rewards?

Would be 3 of each: Merits, Kills, Player Damage, Siege Damage, Damage Soaked, Healing on Players, Healing on Buildings, Occupations.



Or just screw that and give the whole guild the best rewards... It's a team effort after all. Frontline would be way weaker if the backline didn't do their job properly.

If it's a roll-over ya. But in a close fight, so rare now a days, the back line is everything, regaurdless who you have in front if your enemy does 50% more damage and takes 50% less dmg than you for too long, its GG. (also Traps, tower capping, ect.)
