Possible fun with Multi-classes and help drive Class Expansion Ticket sales & other diamond sales

After obtaining the 3rd class ( 20/20 -> Eye of Wisdom -> 3rd class "quest" ), there should be a quest for Introspection. ( Possibly given out by Daris ) Something along the same lines as the 50 elites quest of the old days. This quest would unlock the Gates of Introspection w/ 4 Skill Slots.

This is where this gets interesting, each of the 4 slots is for 1 General Skill from your 3rd->6th classes. Initially, Max level of the skills are: 4,3,2,1.

You may ONLY choose 1 General skill from each of your 3rd->6th classes. ie, if Priest is one of your 3rd->6th classes & you chose that class skill FIRST, you could have: Rising Tide, Urgent Heal or Regenerate to choose from; Warrior choices would be: Equip Axe, Slash & Enraged; Knight choices would be: Holy Strike, Punishment, Disarmament; etc.. & they would be level 4 skills. 2nd skill slot would be limited to level 3 General skills @ level 3, 3rd slot = level 2 General skills @ level 2 & 4th slot = level 1 General skills @ level 1.

You only do the quest 1 time to unlock the Gates of Introspection & it costs 100k gold to change a skill. ( gold sink here )

Here's where it gets fun for GF... new IS item Reflection Tickets for 99 dias. Each Reflection Ticket can increase the max level of one of the skill slots in the Gates of Introspection. So if you got 4 tickets & used them on the 1st skill slot, you would have access to General skills up to level 8 & that skill would be level 8 ( if you have that skill leveled up on that class to 8 ).

Basically, another 4 skills that can be used if you have 6 classes.

Sounds like it could be seriously op for the already current overpowered combos we have atm. Don't like this idea at all.

If i am getting this right, we would be able to use 1 general skill from a class you have that's not your current combo. So like R/M/WD would be able to have charged chop while being a r/m? or w/s/wd??!! or s/r/wd? or anyything and warden!

edit: wait you wouldnt even be able to use charged chop as a w/s or s/r with no mana bar. so r/m/wd op!!!!! wtb race change ticket :3

...you know what wtb race change ticket anyways...

A better idea would be to give pure characters (those with no secondary classes) a hp and dp bonus and special skills that would all be lost when they get a second class. The concept of having a character with only one class to level up would make people more likely to add another toon or a new player want to keep the game far more simple. It would also speed up the leveling process and there would finally be enough quests to handle the leveling process and tp system.

or just make all classes have access to all skills from any combos!! cause we are all winners here, we deserve it and if you don't do this , i am moving to Canada!!!!!!

Gotta say, just a bad idea or suggestions, they can't even make item IS work properly ( rinse and repeat sales as before/items that should be in bulk that aren't etc ). Eoj's, mems and crafting drops, go farm for hours on end moron and get no reward for it and this is what my 6th voice in my head tells me. The 4th voice which is utterly crazy always says : Trust Gameforge and Runewaker, they are gaming gods!!! see crazy i tell you!! and you don't want to hear about the 664 other voices in my head either. hahahahaha

I'm talking about allowing people to create unique toons that aren't cookie-cutter guys.

So you don't want to make use of any of the general skills from any of the other 4 classes you have? Or is this one of those rants where you're thinking that someone's going to have all of the skills of all 6 classes at their disposal?

I'm seriously trying to put out suggestions that could be fun to play with and you guys just go w/ "someone will be OP" or make fun of the suggestion altogether.

Point of fact: There are currently OP builds and no matter what changes GF/RW make, there will be an "OP" build out there.

This game is so much fun when you embrace the different builds and IMO adding 1 General skill from you other 4 classes would really allow someone to be creative about how they play their current toons.

ie, somoene w/ Warden 3rd class could choose Charged Chop for their lvl 4 skill, another might choose Briar Shield for their lvl 4 skill but the point is that they choose 1. Not ALL of them, 1 skill which they still need to level up on the Warden side.

It's almost like you guys don't want the game to evolve and just die off or something.

Ycavan, sadly this patch almost did it for me to quit the game and move on. They can' even have a patch that was tested by players like us, helped with the bugs etc and they still messed it up. Now we got basic stuff that was never broken previous to level 95 that is now. Celes made a post about it and they are working on it, no ETA, nothing. Now you would like them to implement stuff that will bork more stuff in the game, we know Runewaker mathematics and it is not their strong suit at all.

They can't even fix the stat drop on EOJ's, mems etc? like come on, are those Koreans programmers 6 year olds on a school project or grant? doing the programming for the game? people wasted hours of farming some of the most time consuming commodities with a ZERO chance of good stats, come on and all we get is : We are working on it? what about giving me back my 6K EOJ's wasted on level 97 vendor? they have a lot to make up towards me, i used to be more hopeful about the game but not so much anymore.

i understand the idea and could create new options, some more drastic than others.

  • all non dwarves can have an extra stat stick by being able to wear a bow. w/wd or wd/w with a bow, yay 2 recons and a more stats. or a k/w being able to use 2 hatreds. can't pick vamp if you don't have a bow and can't choose 2 generals.
  • charge chop weaving. most notably on a r/m. other might be a close range scout going s/m or s/p? d/w maybeh??
  • human r/m able to use holy strike in siege, you see they use physical immune, go holy strike them now!
  • if warrior's ability to equip axe and use slash go together, k/p wd/s and ch/p (honestly everyone, just need some swap weapon macros) can now slash! yay w/s dps!
  • everyone can off heal themselves with either recover or urgent.
  • ummmm fireball?

these are just a few that i can think of

Rakalaka M/P/L (98/98/98)

Dude, everything will be cookie-cutter anyways.

There's always going to be one rotation (with very little slight variations) that is the most optimal.

Always going to be that one skill from your 3rd class that will make the biggest difference of them all and everyone's gonna pick that one because if you don't then you're going to be sub-par.

Just look at what happens:

1 Revolutionary player finds something new. e.g. R/M. All endgamers turn R/M. 90% of the midgame population turns R/M.

1 Revolutionary player thinks outside the box. Finds out str/stam gear for M/W. Endgamers did it. 90% of Midgamers followed.

1 Revolutionary player actually started using Honor gear. Everyone saw how OP it was. Endgamers did it. 90% Midgamers followed.

Everything will follow that path. For that path to be broken everything has to be almost perfectly balanced in terms of efficiency and difficulty.

*note the 90% is just a number I pulled out of thin air

This will change nothing other than making some already strong classes even stronger than the rest. e.g. R/M + Charged Chop rotation and Berserk, either Swiftness or Bow Training from Scout, then Knowledge of Nature for mana from Druid (or MEP for PvP). How strong is that? Racerx would probably like that.

x/y/K has Shield of Discipline or Enhanced Armor for PvP. Human Warrior/Mage would be so strong with SoD in SW lol. Imo SoD is the only reason you can argue K/M is better than W/M atm... any noob can click one button and take -63% damage and brag about lasting a while.

x/y/Wd get CC rotation or Briar Shield.

x/y/S bow training stat stick

x/y/M gets Silence or Lightning an easy ranged interrupt or a long lasting ranged root

x/y/W gets Berserk

Anyways too much ranting. I'm basically saying the same thing over and over with different examples. There's that one skill that is too good to not get for most of the classes. It would need some serious restrictions to not be broken OP, still limiting the amount of paths you crave.

& going back to what I mentioned earlier, there are initial level restrictions.

1st skill slot is level 4 ( max level & max skill choice )
2nd skill slot is level 3
3rd skill slot is level 2
4th skill slot is level 1

If GF puts in Reflection Tickets @ 99 dias, SoD is a level 36 skill so.. minimum, you're paying ( 36 - 4 = 32 x 99 dias ) ( around 3200 diamonds ) just to get the skill @ lvl 36. Add another 14 to max it out & your total dia cost would be: 4554 to make that 1st slot a level 50 slot.

So if someone were to do that, then I don't see the problem w/ them having a level 50 SoD on a non-knight class. That M/W would still have to be equiping a shield to use the skill so that might drop his effective damage output for the -65% damage buff for 30 seconds.

So many things wrong, where to beging...
1) I said W/M, a combo already wearing a shield in PvP. It also seems that you have no idea how strong SoD is...

2) M/W can't even equip a shield. And if it could, you can make a macro to equip low level white shield, pop SoD then go back to your main weapon...

3) 4.5k dias is not even that much. Around 350m gold in Mithras. Specially since you can just buy it over time.

4) Lv50 CC would still be a lot of free damage.

Anyways. In simpler terms you might be able to understand that doesn't involve game mechanics. Your suggestion does nothing to solve this issue:

I'm talking about allowing people to create unique toons that aren't cookie-cutter guys.

There will be that optimal skill per class and mostly everyone's going to pick it. It'll be the same thing now cookie-cutting that's going on now.

I meant W/M. :)

& I get it that people don't want to hear about anything that might be creative or fun so I'll just stop posting suggestions. It's just not worth it since there's very little discussion.

We'll just stick to the same ol' same ol' & wait for however long GF decides to keep publishing & when it ends, you guys can shout to the rooftops that you just knew that this game was doomed from the get-go.

GM's please close this thread.

We can make it creative and fun. I thought it was fun figuring out which class was going to be the most OP of them all... I mean I talked about it for an hour or two in total yesterday and today. Asking people what they would take and hearing their thoughts. Helped me figure out which classes would be so much stronger from people that actually play them.

But is the suggestion actually something that would be good to be implemented into the game? I don't think so. Specially since it does little to solve the issue of diversity you presented.
