Golden Hammers from Mirror World NPC

With the time it takes to get OD being such a huge bottleneck on how fast people can gear, it would be nice if we could buy golden hammers from the mirror world NPC's, so that people could just stat UD gear and there would be a lot more gearing happening, which is good for both the game as a whole and GF. For a lot of people, its simply not fun to lost real $$ from your toon dying in game, which is why UD gear aren't really used much at all except for extremely hard to get pieces, but golden hammers being available from these NPC's would solve the problem.

There's 2 arguments that I can think of:

1. Does not benefit the people who cannot do Mirrorworld.

Well this will give even more incentive for them to stat some damage gear. Then with the little trade off in making damage gear, they end up getting huge supply of golden hammers. I hear people (mostly healers) say "why should I stat like a mage to do some open world events"... well... why should I make a whole new set statted like a tank to be effective in PvP?


2. Would make OD gear obsolete.

The way the game is, it's already hard enough to get OD for your own running group. There isn't enough people running to be able to just pump out OD gear one after the other to start selling. So the OD that does drop stays within the group running and UD can actually be sold. UD gear will probably increase in price because of this tbh.

I certainly wouldn't complain about it. Now that I cant buy with zeevex and get the packages anymore I am not looking forward to when I run out. Fortunatly most of my gear is OD anyway but wings and my aoth set are not.

It would also nicely narrow the gap between servers with OD wings and the rest (a costant conflict, hate and flame point in .eu).

I like this idea. :)

Kinda old. But I believe this is a nice idea. Can we get this please?

My first idea was to just scrap OD/UD. OD is so important that it's like OD or bust. UD gear rots in chests or straight up just get turned into dirty tiering mana stones because almost nobody wants them.

Supplying gear to servers would be much easier if EVERY piece that dropped was useful instead of just 1 of every 20 or however awful the OD drop rate is.

More useful gear = easier regearing = more purified fusion stones, plussing jewels, drillers etc. being used. People in V³ still have Lv85 sets with Horror stats as best... that's 6 level caps of not re-gearing.

Just my 2c.

I almost would say id kill to have 1:20 luck :dash: some pieces have been farming for months and cannot get my OD and now there is the whole new set of items with the 98 instance :mad:

but if this would happen can they please not be an obscure cost too

It has never made sense to me why the OD drop rate is so abysmal and there's not an easy way to get golden hammers. It can only be good for the game to have more OD gear, because I guarantee people will spend a hell of a lot more money on the items it takes to make new gear than they'll ever spend on hammering UD gear.

It wouldn't even be that difficult to make the OD drop rate higher. Just make the lowest dura possible something like 90-95 and boom OD now has a much higher chance of dropping assuming the dura is a completely random function.

well the mirror shard vendor could have hammers in for sure. You can get golden repair hammers from TH pretty easily. I still don't get people are still after 7 years still bringing up the OD drop rate or should drop more often etc, it has been like this forever and was always intended this way, look at Annelia's left or right hand? does it drop on every run? per 50 run? 100 runs?.

Annelia's left and right hand is a special case with 3% drop rate and much better stats then anything from that cap. People are talking about stuff like doing 40 runs of mtn without getting an od 2h axe which is 50% drop rate or od scout gloves dropping once in the same period of time. They are complaining about how painfull it is to have to wait for od unless they want to spend a LOT of money on hammers. They are complainning about the fact that od been so much cheaper to use that almost no one will buy ud items.

We had UD stuff from HM up in Ah for ~10m on Erebos and they just sat there for months in the Ah.

i had an UD katbulbus chest i accidentally used an abl well.. to get atleast some of my money back i put in ah to sell for like 15 mil no bites for 2 weeks.. i put a golden on it make it look pretty... still no bites for another week... after over a month straight of it not selling... i put it in ah for like 6-7 mil... and still.. took another week + to sell..so no unfortunately erebos is too premadonna to use ud gears MOST of the time...

Crafted gear is pretty good. In a lot of cases I will go for the OD up -to-date crafted gear versus the UD instance gear from last year. Just sayin. Then I can just go and buy the whole set bonus instead of prayin that all the instance set pieces somehow show up. Now, if they just brought back set skills...
