Advertise the game

How about some TV commercials or something.
100 people spending $10 is more profit than 5 spending $100.

Gameforge seems to be running ads on facebookwhere presumably lots of potential players lurk. Also, it looks like some trailer length ads (for youtube?) are in the works.

The big magazine adds on PC gamer etc. and adds on major gameing websoted with perhaps a couple of free items thrown in would do far more. It wa for a couple of years when the game was at the height of its popularity that you couldn't go to a major gameing site without seeing a large ROM add on the first page now nothing. Facebook and Utube require that you know about the game to look up an ad which means that only people playing the game will see the ads. It has to be advertized in places where people who don't know about the game go.

I dunno about you, but on both Facebook and YouTube the ads seem to find me rather than the other way around. I don't mean that these appear on the rom Facebook page, but rather that they appear in people's feeds, with no searching involved. Thus the fb ad does reach people who have not heard of rom. Presumably a YouTube as would as well.

I think you only see ads for it on facebook if you've "liked" it.

Lots of people run adblock extensions for their browsers.... Ads for this game need to be placed in real world places too like magazines as aardvark3 suggested.

Something needs to be done to repopulate the servers.

Would they consider allowing players to place banners on their websites, facebook pages, etc.? I have always advocated for more advertising of the game; it wouldn't be hard to do since many of us are on other forums that are not gaming-related (at least I am). Plus another giveaway like with the Amelia Wings would help as well.
