Account Friends

I was thinking that it would be nice to allow adding accounts as friends alongside toons.

This way, if someone starts a new toon, you'll still see your friend is online.

The interface could have something like:

Account Friend Settings
Name Can see online? Can see toon name?
friend_1 N ( disabled since can't see you online )
friend_2 Y N
friend_3 Y Y

Then when your friends bring up their friends list:
friend_1 won't see if you're online or not
friend_2 will see you're online, but not your current toon name
friend_3 would see you're online and see your current toon name

Just a thought since we all have multiple toons & I know I'm sometimes too lazy to let eveyone know which one I'm on :)

most newer games i've played have this feature. it shortens the friends list and makes remembering alts easier. imo, it's a better system.

+1 for the idea, but not sure how it'd work in RoM's dated engine.

It should be do-able, since UltimateMailMod can list out all your various account toons; one would think the same commands that do that could be applied to friend lists.

UMM just remembers the toons you've logged into recently, and adds new ones as you log into them.

Yes, well there you go. All you need now is to have that list available to be imported to friends list. And, then have something like the Questhelper Add-on's ability to share information.
