Sales Schedules revamp

The new IS sales schedule is impractical and needs to be adjusted. If GF is able to release opposing income data that shows the new sales schedule garners more income than the previous sales schedule, of course.

1. Midnight sale to start the weekend sale is not very smart. Most people I know are asleep at midnight. If the intended consequence of this action was to appease non-US customers, please be aware that the US servers should cater to US players. Solution: start the weekend sale at daily reset time. Everyone is familiar with this timeslot and is a good start.

2. A weekend sale should run through the weekend. Having it cut off in the MIDDLE of the weekend is not good. Solution: Stop the weekend sale at daily reset on Monday. Once again, everyone is familiar with this timeslot.

3. Happy hours are generally meant to entice people to come in during times that are not as busy. Having 1 Happy hour sale on a Sunday with 2 items to replace the weekend sale actually lowers the likelihood of people playing and enjoying themselves on Sunday. I have even mentioned in guild chat that I was tempted to stop buying diamonds because of this nonsense. The more GF acts to alienate it's Runes of Magic population, the lower the activity, eventually leading to fewer diamond buyers. Solution: Have happy hour sales on Tuesdays and Thursdays from daily reset Tuesday/Thursday to daily reset Wednesday/Friday. This will make people generally happy that there are sales in the middle of the week and people might buy diamonds if the sales are good enough.

All-in-all, the adjusted sales schedule seems to be poorly thought out and does nothing more than antagonize the existing players. The goal of a good business is to make money. The items in this game are non-existent virtual items that have no real-world importance. All that matters is diamond purchases. It is imperative for the GF company to understand that this game makes money from diamond purchases solely and people will stop buying diamonds if there is no reason to purchase anything from the IS. ( This includes proper gifting options )

Still not sure why they changed the sales from how it was in the past, Only thing that needed changing was longer happy hours.
Incase people forgot how it was:

Fri-Mon Weekend sale
Tues/Thurs/Sun Happy Hour
Wednesday - Wednesday Special

Anyway i agree with the post.

Sometimes I wonder who comes up with these ideas for item shop changes and how they're getting approved and implemented. As of now there's nothing to look forward to in terms of sales until the weekend.

...alongside having to be careful not to miss the *weekend* sales with the way they're timed. I used to love opening the CS just to see what the sale was, now I almost dread the weekend and rarely open it since it's no longer a habit.

Agree

I have to agree. I don't think what we HAD (the full weekend sale and happy hours on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) was bad. The people complaining were looking for more different types of sales. It seemed as though it was the same items in a rotation, and no new items were introduced. What I am saying is definitely old hat and said a million times, but here goes:
1. Happy hours more often rather than less often.
2. Put items that only sell once in a while into the Item Shop. For instance, Class Maximum Expansion tickets. They should always be available, for regular price and during happy hours, at that special rate.
3. Tempered Star and Moon Jewels belong in the Item Shop.
4. More outfits. How about some new ones?
5. More house contracts. How about some new ones?

I still want to spend money and support the game. I'm not asking for anything for free and I would never want to be disrespectful. I just think that giving this significant consideration could be a step in the right direction, making the players feel like game administration is in our corner.
