Runes of Magic US / AU

Why is the file on Megaupload a LATER version (apparently) than the one the official
downloader ROM executable tries to download? 1809 is the version the official downloader is downloading...

What gives? Is this legit the file on Megaupload?
Where the hell is official support for this game ?

I gave up on the official download tool when I saw only 380 megabytes downloaded in 24 hours.

I have better things to do.
I'm downloading from the megaupload site but am now very nervous to try as I dont' understand why it is so much later version than the official one.. one has to be wary of hacks.

i got these 5 programs into a folder using winrar and when i run the setup.exe it says it can't find the files. I'm new to this kind of stuff, can anyone help me?

i downloaded perfectly, but when i tried to install the files were corrupted, same thing happened when i wasted 12 hrs of my life downloading the first time, and the second time, using a torentsite i never got the setup.exe so my pc never even knew what to do with it. this was my 3rd time installing this game and im done. the only reason i gave it 3 tries was because my freind is always talking about how awsome this game is. well if i have to jump through this many hoops than it just isnt worth it.
maby ill try it after the fix this retarted download, untill then screw it! ill just stick to guild wars.

skorm, what i did is i had the same problems. i tried the atomicgames mirrors, and downloaded them into a new file called i called runes. once all 5 pieces were in there, i clicked on setup, and its installing. i hope this helps...

*Here are the md5 sums for the current Open Beta Files. This is because I can't tell which of the files is corrupt when I download (I've downloaded the whole game more than twice just today....taking all day). This is to save people the trouble of finding md5 sums. I'd make a thread about this, but I only signed up today and it seems I'm not allowed to. You can copy and paste these in a text file to make a functional md5 file (i.e. md5sums.md5).

I used the official client download for ROM and nothing happened. The loading bar is full but it says "seeding" Any tips on where I can download ROM faster?

Shugo, you used the torrent - what you do is you right-click the Runes of Magic download in your torrent program, click "Open containing folder" - your download is there!

"Seeding" is what you do once you have 100% of the torrent, so you can upload to other people.

That's what I mean open the folder you downloaded it to (go to the Settings and check the Downloading folder in your torrent program - should be easy to find) and it will be there.

my client downloaded from the runes websight says 1835
but it still needs to download over 2 gigs.
then the net craps out and it loses everything and have to start over.
is there a way to just download the patch without using the patcher?
and 1820 is earlier than 1835 right? so there would be even more to download?

Yes; look a little further up in this forum for a thread that says "manual patches".

Hey guys,
I'm hoping someone can help. My C drive is full so I put RoM on my D drive and I have never really had a problem patching but now with the most recent patch it is automatically putting it in the C drive which causes it to stop as there is not enough space. How do I patch and direct it to put it in the D drive along with the rest of my RoM file? I'm not super computer literate so I need it explained in simple terms if possible, hehe. Thank you so very much in advance for the time you can give to help.

As to your concern, there's a way to move your Windows Temp folder to another drive. Take a look at this article:
