"Connection with server failed."

Problem: After logging in (on the screen with all of the servers) and choosing a server, i get the message "Account Banned" followed by "Connection with server failed. Please restart the game."

What I have tried:

  1. I have tried changing the setting of RuneDev.ini
  2. Reinstalled the game 4 times
  3. Changed the location to USA (where I am) and language to English
  4. Uninstalling Avast and disabling my firewall

Other info: I can log into the game just fine on my girlfriends laptop through the same network. Therefore it can't be my accounts or my router?

Also, I just got a new SSD. I installed Windows 7, then avast, then rom. I have so few programs (now only rom since avast is gone) I don't understand what the problem could be.

Rom worked fine before the SSD, but I don't see how an SSD could be the issue.

Any help would be amazing. Thank you.

Please contact Support about this issue. Use the link in my sig below to reach the Support portal. Create an account there, if you haven't already done so. Then, in your ticket, give a complete description of your issue, similar to what you posted above. Include the information regarding your inability to log into the game with your computer but that you can with your girlfriend's laptop, and that on your computer you can get to the server selection screen. Indicate whether or not your girlfriend's laptop is using your LAN. Also make sure that you include:

Game account name
Server(s) usually played on
Main character name

Monitor the Inbox and Junk/Spam folders for the email address that you link your Support account with--some ISPs and/or mail services (Hotmail, Live) have a tendency to mark messages from Frogster as either Junk or Spam.

Hope this helps and you get your issue resolved soon.
