Will this laptop be able to run RoM?

Hello there =) Since my old laptop (8 years old) was really not doing a good job, i decided i should buy a new computer. I don't have that much money, so my budget was around 600$.

I've seen Toshiba's Satellite L735-S3375 13.3-Inch Laptop, and it looked pretty good to me

The specs are:
2.4 GHz Intel Core i5-2430M
4 GB SO-DIMM
500 GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
13.3-Inch Screen, Mobile Intel® HD graphics with 64MB-1696MB shared graphics memory
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Processor, Memory, and Motherboard
Processor: 2.4 GHz Core i5-430UM
Memory Slots: 2
Hard Drive
Size: 500 GB
Speed: 5400 rpm

It seems fine, but i am kindof worried about the Integrated Graphics.

If it won't work very well, can somebody recommend another laptop? An if it has to be one it can also be a pc :)
Budget around 600 dollars/450 euros

Thanks in Advance,

Not sure what good you can get for $600, but I would stay away from onboard video card with shared memory.

If I get again laptop for my next gaming computer, I will most likely go with something like this. (starting at $900)

My current laptop is 3 years old, but it has 1GB nVidia G-Force 9800M video card that works well with RoM. It costed me a bit more at the time, but provided also better gameplay and will last a bit more then those cheap new laptops.

OP, the problem that computer will have is with the video chipset, specifically, with the amount of dedicated video RAM. Our game requires a minimum of 128MB dedicated video RAM, and that computer doesn't have that.

It's likely that the game will run, but your framerates will be low, and you will have moderate to severe video lag issues with it.

Oy, that looks really cool. I just don't have enough money (grfmbl) =/ Does it really have to cost 900$? I don't need the best of the best. I'm looking for something that's okay to multitask with browse on the internet, and do regular schoolwork without it getting jammed up. And of course, i want RoM to run on it (smoothly)
If it really has to be so expensive, i would actually prefer a desktop. In my experience desktops are always cheaper than pc's (spec-wise). I already have a monitor/keyboard/mouse, so i only need a pc to roll.
Anybody recommend something kewl?

Oh, and thanks for the quick reply RoMage! =)

OP,

If you can get your hands on this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…N82E16834214495

I would suggest you go for that instead.

128 MB is minimum. My old P4 computer has 128MB video card and it works as long as everything is on minimum.

I would go with gaming computer/laptop, and best would be to buy PC Gamer magazine, and then review all ads for PC/Laptops with special deals. (This might as well get you special RoM key with 7 day rune disk mount ;))

Another thing would be to go with brand names (HP, Lenovo, Dell, etc.) like mrmisterwaa suggested, but the problem is that results might not be the best, as most of them don't have gamer in mind when building computers.

Here is one of computers that is not sold out as the one suggested by mr.mr. 1GB video card will work a bit better then 128, don't you think? :)

Lol, funny thing is it wasn't sold out when I linked it. >.>

The reason why I chose the 525m over the 520 was because it is a bit faster. (and cheaper.)

I don't have any experience with Lenovo ... so I can't criticise.
