Error- Download /:0 version.txt fail!!

Is the message that I tried opening up RoM. Followed by "Can't download version.txt (???abun??chofsymb???olsi?cantb???stu??ffedco??ppyi???ng)". Then closes.

It was working perfectly well before. But this happened after the latest patch. So anyone know what went wrong?

Still not working. So does anyone know what's wrong? I can't even open up the client anymore. The stupid error just appears.

Instead of opening it by double clicking, Right click on the shortcut and open as Admin and see what happens please!

Too late I just found out what's the problem and solved it. My update file somehow got corrupted and I had to replace it. I can load up the client again and now it's updating all over again.

Just one question though. Is it normal for it to show "Chapter 2: Elven Prophecy" on the client? I thought it only did that a long time ago.

i found it out

OK i went to https://forum.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=363202 and then i updated to an older version then back up to the new version NOW IT WORKS
