Datacenter switch exacerbated lag

Before Frogster made the Datacenter switch I was getting a steady 32ms with no noticable lag.

Since the seitch, I'm seeing it range from 94ms to 6000+ ms and what I type frequently doesn't show up for 4 seconds or longer.

I didn't change anything so it's obvious where the problem is.

When I played **** in the same time frame, nothing changed there, zero lag (or crashes).

As one of the mentors mentioned in another thread,

Usually when there is a server relocation, problems arise due to a change hop path to the server.

The people who live near the server and people who live a few thousand miles from the server (6000+ miles in cable length between me and the US servers btw) and I experience no spikes in ping, call your ISP and see if there have been any reported problems.

Do a trace route to the server and see if the problem is the server or a server on the way to the US-servers in Florida.

Well you can easily find it using netstat, I will do it when the servers are back up.

Edit: 206.253.173.45 from what I can see.

Trace shows 9 - 12 ms until it hits the vaultnetworks server farm where it leaps to triple digits. Not good.
