Help will not update and play!

Hi I need some help when i update it finishes the patch but then says
?????windows???? and brings me to a winrar page and its just question marks so i X out and it says access denied and it closes and starts the next update. I finish updating and when i try to play it comes up black for 1 sec then closes.
How do i fix this???

I'm having a similar problem.

I got the error with the winrar page, but it seemed to update fine. When I restart the client, it loads the game and gets to the login screen. But when I try to log in it says the version oon my computer is a different version from the servers and tells me to update my client ... but it is updated...

No clue what to do ... some advice would be good :)

Make sure you downloaded the client here: http://us.runesofmagic.com/us/downloads,client,us.html

Just extract it to your desktop then run the program. The patcher should start up, it could take several minutes up to a few hours to catch up to the current patch.

While the patcher is running, do not touch the client until the "Start Game" button is orange and clickable. If its not, then the patch is not done. Remember, it could be awhile until it finishes patching.

Hopefully this helps, not sure if I covered your questions but that's as best as I can give :P
