ROM causing a blank white screen

Im not sure entirely whats been going on. My guess is the gamecard is for some reason acting up. Whenever i open rom or even when im in game, the screen will go completely white. Has anyone else been experiencing this problem? The way I seem to get out of it, is pressing crt, alt, delete, but it usually just goes right back to the white screen if i open it up again. Anyone know whats going on?

Please post a dxdiag so we can take a look at your hardware/driver setup. Use the link in my sig below if you're not sure how to do a dxdiag.

It is possible for your GPU to overheat, especially if you're using a notebook computer with clogged air intakes/exhausts, or if the exhausts are blocked in some way. It's also possible if you're using a desktop computer and the vents are clogged/blocked or the inside of the computer is a breeding ground for dust bunnies. A belated Spring Cleaning (or early one, depending) might be a good idea.
