Old codes not working?

Hello, I quit playing last year sometime. Recently I started playing again, and had some old codes i wanted to use. When i put them into the website, I'm told they dont work!? Ive tried like 4 or 5 codes and have been told they are all invalid. What gives, do they expire? Ive never had a problem with the codes before.

Its possible. Or Frogster EU takeover of the US playerbase (Frogster America doesn't exist anymore) could have invalidated the codes.
