I remember reading somewhere that this happens when you haven't clicked the confirmation link in your email you received when you registered.
If you didn't receive this email, I suggest a visit to the account management link on the main site to see if you can resend it.
Failing that, you'll have to contact Customer Support and ask them to fix it.
