ALternate Resolutions

Can the game be run in resolutions higher than 1024x768 if so how do i go about changing it so my 24 inch 1920x1080 looks better

When you're in-game, ESC --> Video and Audio Settings. Choose either Full Screen (click the radio button at the top of the window frame) and then click on the dropdown box. Select 1980x1020, then the Accept button at the bottom right of the window.

I have a 23" monitor and play in Windowed Mode at 1600x900.
